I think wellens is a decent coach and a decent man. However whilst I still think saints are a top class side I think wellens has received a poisoned chalice. Some of his top flight players are aging and need replacements, not easy as lots of clubs are chasing decent players including us. Let’s not forget Leigh were excellent but ultimately saints poor goal kicking lost them the game. This Friday ,saints will be up for this game as a result of last Saturdays result. Think it’s a massive challenge for us , can see it being a close game. Certainly not expecting an easy game.

I'd say they're favourites but wouldn't say we are massive underdogs
From a Saints perspective you’d be disappointed not to be overwhelming favourites against a team lower in the league, at home, coming off a terrible result and performance vs HKR, without their main strike player (Newman).’but we all see it differently so fair play, we’ll probably hammer them!

Their last three games - Wire, Catalans and Leigh - have all been high quality and high intensity. Don't know whether that might have some impact on them for Friday, or whether they'll just trot out and do it again. Suspect injuries and suspension will be key. We know Passi will be out, but if Walmsley and Scarsbrook are also struggling and Matauti cops a suspension it takes a lot away from them. A lot of ifs there though. The main thing is that we turn up play hard and do the basics well. As we know that is far from a given.

No if i was a Saints fan I don't think i would be thinking they'd be overwhelming favourites, they've got injuries and suspensions and like i said they're not that far ahead in the table.
Newman's barely played for two years and we're not far off been full strength and have already beaten Saint, Wigan, Cats and Wire this year.

Matautia banned for 2 games. So him and Paasi both missing and checks on Walmsley, Knowles and Welsby and possibly Makinson. Roby and Percival returning for Saints. Don`t underestimate their young forwards who might have to step in. Should be a close game with us edging it by 8 imo. I can hope.
