Meanwhile there is a whole section on the St Helens red vee site moaning about John Asiata’s tackling technique and Ritson being shoulder charged off the ball for Hardaker’s try.
I would like to offer an apology to C Kendall, who I might have suggested watches a lot of porn, and questioned his parentage. On the whole he seems to have got the big calls right, but at the time he looked like he was squad member for St Helens.
Congratulations to everybody associated with the Leigh Leopards, this was a magnificent performance, considering we were under the cosh for 60 minutes. The final hooter was an emotional time for many, and what we achieved still feels like a dream.
The BBC built up a great event and put centre stage the Rugby League story of the 21st Century. JJB has been supportive of Leigh all season and even Jon Wilkin was coming round with support.
Tremendous support from the Leigh faithful, who drowned out the dirge of the When the Saints Go Marching In.
Let's see how far we can go in what is left of this fantastic season. See you all in London.
Wilkin as a pundit for me he is too biased. We beat Saints now he is having a go at Asiata’s tackling. I don’t like to see anyone get injured, but he put his body on the line, and went around the legs to bring them down. Now we are getting complaints for tackling around the legs. Dammed if you go high and now Dammed if you go low. At this rate you won’t be able to tackle anywhere.

Wonder how many who “can’t afford a season ticket at £25 a month” or “can’t afford to go to games” will be joining the hordes heading to Wembley and blowing£200 each. The more the merrier I say, but for those who can get but as yet haven’t then get on the DD for 2024 - the journey has only just started

Watched back twice and Kendall’s bias to saints was consistent - slow ptb and short 10 allowed them into our faces for all but a brief spell second half, this is the disease our regs need to cure.

Hope this doesn’t happen again!!
I was behind the sticks when Dave Eckersley dummies for a drop girl and then sidestepped over the try line. Brilliant memories and we're going again to beat Wiggin this time haha.

Busy at work yesterday afternoon. Do have a Beeb log-in but not a chance. All Bongser could manage was the odd quick check in on the BBC website. Very frustrating!
Watched the highlights goodness knows how many times last night and another half-dozen times this morning. Hmm-ed and Ha-ed about watching the whole dashed caboodle on iplayer (the defence was on show in said highlights, what more (bar two conversions) would there be to see?) before giving in and watching the coverage all the way through.
Pleased to have opted to do so. WHAT AN HEROIC PERFORMANCE!

A new thread on the virtual terrace here has started about that, from a Saints fan funnily enough.
Irony is represented below.
