He has some quality about him but he doesn’t yet really stamp his mark on games.
RS must know what he’s doing but I do prefer us playing lads in their best positions so Levi coming might get us back into shuffling.
Anyone see that lovely try by Fergus McCormack in the Academy game? He does something like that most weeks good running threat.
Yep. He's a real talent. Shame that the game itself was turned into an absolute mockery when played under the new rules pilot. Surely they can't move forward with it. It would kill the game.
I think Levi will be brought in and Johnson will be loaned out for next season to get more meaningful game time. I think our expectations for him to be 1st or 2nd choice 9 for one of the biggest clubs in the country are too high considering he was out of the pro game for 2 years at the most important time in his development.

It reminded me a bit of the last time I attended vs Salford; a lack of intensity. HKR were very average quality wise but are well coached & fantastically committed. You have been very good recently, especially Austin who was anonymous last night until he was completely pole-axed. I would love to see that tackle again, presumably he failed a HIA. I was puzzled that you never attempted a drop goal in normal time. Without being able to see a clock I didn't realise it was so close to FT. Not sure whether the players were aware.

Re the hookers, they seem to be operating to a very basic level. I'd be expecting a bit more evidence of developing their repertoires, even if that meant unsuccessful plays, were they viewed as likely to play leading roles in our immediate future.

Think tigertot has a good point here, I think Peters /McGuire did a number on us. We’ve seen this static, lack lustre, passive poor display against lots of the weaker sides particularly in poor weather, where they get off the line faster in defence and run harder with the ball and we are easy to defend against because it’s just one man out , 90% of the time.
We’ve nobody on the pitch to change it. Summed up after sangare lost the ball on their line, we start piling in on defence with 1 minute to go but don’t do it for the first 79. They had a lot of journeymen in their team and best 3 players in the stands but outplayed us
Absolutely garbage. Slow physically and even slower in game management. Bentley tackled ok , Nene ok , Fuzzi when he got the ball ok ,Holroyd ok ( has he lost too much weight ? ) Rest poor in mine and fans around me opinions. 20 minutes to go my brother was shouting for a drop goal, I think he might be horse.
Nah I thought we were the better side overall but close game and wet conditions. We needed to drop a goal in the last 10 mins and we lost the game because we failed to.
We are a mid table side until we can add some quality in a few positions.

Yeah I wouldn’t watch the sport under those rules it is ridiculous.
The ref had a hard job and the players were mutinous.
After last nights game we definitely are a rocks or diamonds side, Hull certainly slowed down the PTB and we seem to struggle with slow ball, I think we need a strong leader in the JP mould.

Quite correct, I have said on previous occasions I am not in favour of sacking smith . We should wait to the season end and evaluate performances and other factors. Sadly last night’s performance and result will be added to several other lack lustre displays and failures. Thought we had enough quality players in that team last night to win. Can’t see us winning at saints so potentially we could be drifting out of a play off spot.
