Pretty hard to put your body on the line when you aren't getting paid. Poor sods.

Why do I get a feeling its going to be an "us against the world" performance on Sunday. We'll either stick 50 on them or come away with a loss.

This one has banana skin written all over it.

They've gone big on getting the town to support their efforts at survival, and it's likely to be a big and hostile crowd, with a team desperate to impress any potential sponsors or investors (or put themselves in the shop window)

Exactly the kind of scenario that, historically, makes our lot crumple in a heap and end up losing badly...

Could be like when we went into admin the first time and won away at Wigan. Or could be like when we got spanked by 80+ there.

You just don't know with out lot at the moment.

With the dismal display we served up against Widnes I'm hoping that has given some of the players a wake up call that you certainly cannot just turn up and expect teams to roll over. Whitehaven will be up for this one, especially if a big crowd turns out. I hope we grab a couple of early scores to settle any nerves and then push on and get the result.

Whitehaven’s squad is absolutely decimated. They’ve had to draft in some Castleford reserve players to make up a squad of 18. They’re not able to name a 21 man squad.

On paper Bradford should walk this but if they turn up with a lazy and complacent attitude it could be a tough afternoon.

Off to a dreadful start. We have 2 tries chalked off and Whitehaven go up the other end and score on their second set. Gaskell off injured early doors as well.
