No, he can use Wakefield's reserve fixture on the Cup semi final weekend as he would have done for us. He'll miss the SL games against Huddersfield, then the reserves game and finish his ban by missing their SL games against Warrington and us. His first game should be against Cas.

Got to credit Wakey, they're not going down without a fight, Fifita's return has had such an impressive impact. Griffin will be a good coup for them, that game vs Cas will be a hell of a game to make a debut in.

Thanks for that. I really wasn’t sure.

There have been a string of issues on and off the field affecting his colleagues and our results as a team, culminating in him possibly single handedly seeing us bow out of the cup, this coach doesn't mess around and has set an example in that if your 100% for your team and your buddies in it, then he gives his full backing, if you start playing silly buggers and putting self first your out! Connor is another point of fact he made it clear to Smith that Hull FC were a one man team (which under Hodgson we probably where) and he was that man, but Smith didn't fight him leaving but rather showed him the door and look who we employed with the money he saved us! For me after wintering and summering so many assistant coaches 'made good' whoever comes and goes player wise at my club the one person we need to retain is TS.

Firstly, thanks to Josh for his time at the club. He’ll forever be one of our Wembley winners and I wish him well for the future.

He’d certainly hit some great form this season, finally overcoming a terrible injury.

However, prior to that run of form there had been doubts about renewing his contract. His impact in the Second Row was potentially worth a one year extension given his age/salary.

However, regardless of how we all feel on how Kendall handled the incident, Griff’s mouth saw him land 1/4 season ban and potentially cost us £10,000’s in Cup revenue if we’d gone on to beat Saints. He was warned in the cup win at Cas and that reaction is no use to a Club.

I think this release decision helps set a standard that others are beginning to align to. We’ve all bemoaned the attitude of the players within the Club since McRae first highlighted the issue years ago. Tony appears to be improving all aspects of how we play and approach and it’s nice that Adam and the fans are prepared to back his decisions.

Reading the article its hard to know whether it's the club that have paid him off or its Griffin himself that's asked to be released early to sign a 2 year deal.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Still nothing official from either club, despite some good luck messages from the players on social media

Even if you ignore the cup incident I doubt we would have given him the length of deal Wakey have.

The incident has probably sped up the process and sees him leave now.
