Most people wanted rid of him after the last 2 seasons. He allegedly caused problems on the training ground last year. He's had 4 or 5 good games come contract renewal time,cost us our place in the Challenge Cup through pure petulance. I think he's probably spat his dummy out after being told he won't be getting a new deal. Trust the process. It's exactly what we've all been crying out for.

Does seem strange to pay him off rather than just let his contract run out unless either someone is coming in or we weren’t able to play Staveley due to restrictions on the live cap? Though you’d think Evans going snd not being replaced would take care of anything like that.
