Once we have a few injuries, we don’t really have the depth to field a reserves team. I’m sure somebody will correct me if I’m wrong, but I think everybody apart from Senior, Hall and Aydin was academy-eligible today. I take your point though - and an 18th man was named. I guess Aydin could do 20 minutes from the bench if needed, but Willie Peters obviously hasn’t had the optimism knocked out of him.

Hull kept on a quite few academy +1 players to provide the basis of a reserves team. It’ll be interesting to see how they shape the squad next year with Smith expressing reservations about the system as it stands and it being unlikely to change.

Maybe in your eyes but it’s not an upset in terms of betting when we have 2 start .

There are better halfbacks than Clifford, but that doesn't mean we can just sign them.

We haven't the money to keep paying off players.

Just seen a couple pictures of the pitch, absolute mess. If a player gets injured from either side there needs to be serious questions as to why it was thought it would be a good idea to not protect the pitch

I have also heard that Will Gardiner will be in the 17 tomorrow, I assume that means Taylor will miss out.

Not necessarily. It could mean Gardiner in for Lovodua and Taylor in for Brown.

Think we will be one of several clubs waiting to see the outcome of the new TV deal before we can complete deals and announce them.
With regard to Clifford there may be better halfbacks out there but his style of play really suited us and for that reason will be very difficult to replace.
