while it's fair to say huddersfield were simply awful what encouraged me was we did all the basics that every good RL side should do. something that's been lacking most of the season. wether the penny has dropped, someone's had a word or whatever if smith continues in this vein I will have no issues with him staying. it will be interesting if they continue this way or refer to type

They deserve praise for last night, I think this is the weirdest team I’ve ever seen. Started to think about going to Wire but then thought about Cas, HKR and wakey away so will save my coin.
I agree about Walters. Just with the sheer size of him there's loads of potential there.
Really enjoyed last night, getting through the basics and tough stuff then playing at the right time with bodies pushing around the ball, on the back of a great kicking game. There's been a few false dawns this season so I hope this isn't another. Smith treats every game in isolation but I really think they need to see it as a more significant step to consistency.

Yeh, Walters is going OK and has plenty of potential. But still lots to learn in defence. His problem with us is that if Holroyd and Tetevano were fit, he wouldn't be in the 17.

His ball carrying and movement at the line are getting a lot better. Looks like he is really developing now. Defence can still improve but that’s easier to do than add attacking threat.

Thought Huddersfield played like we did last week against Wakefield. Very poor and invited us on to them which gave us the confidence and like others have said the intensity that`s been lacking lately. Thought 1-17 played well and Myler pushed Austin all the way for MOM. Please do not move Handley back to FB. He`s a decent winger and Myler is a decent FB. Looks like Williams will miss the game next Thursday for Wire. Fingers crossed Sangare and Smith make it.
