Also Lino has been the constant this year but not had enough positive influences in games. It always tends to be other players fault Lino isn’t performing. He’s played with 4/5 different halves and I’m of the opinion it’s his game that needs to change. Won’t be popular but that’s just what I see. Try’s really hard Lino but holds the ball up, is predictable and one dimensional with an average kicking game.

I have to agree with this.

Even going back to the friendly on Boxing Day, the score was comfortable enough, but it wasn't until Lino went off and Smith went into the halves, did we step up a gear.

Right now, a 3 year extention for Lino, is very generous to say the least.

Potentially, Smith, Gale and Dagger are probably the ones in contention for the half back spots, and if they work, then I'd stick with it.

I hope to be proved wrong, however.

Dagger has proved his utility value at SO but I personally feel he’s not a permanent SO.
Gale might be the answer if we can get him on the park.
I’d like to see a Gale/Smith partnership given a few games.
If that’s not right try Lino/Smith?
Time will tell but I acknowledge that Smith at last stepped up against Leeds - can he do it week in week out?

Still see a lot of Keighley fans on SM when the topic comes up making mention that Gale had no shortage of effort but wasn't killing it against champs teams. His mind is probably still whole but his body might just not be doing it anymore maybe?

I guess we will have to make our own minds up when he does get onto the field. He’s come back into a full time environment so that may help bridge a gap. Hard to say tbh.

Top six 2005 - Trinity.

And we don't need him to be running the length of the field. We need him to manage the team.

Exactly. Finn wasn’t the fastest but he had the brain to get the team over the park - as does Gale.

True but if Dagger and Smith get another shot and do well then we may have found our solution.

Finn also had one of the best three-quarter lines we have had down at Wakefield ,You have no need to run with a 2 to 5 like that .Think a 7 needs more than a brain with the team we got
