Honestly, I am happy with this signing. If (and it's a very big if) he stays fit, he will be an unbelievable signing. He was brilliant for us last time and like he said in his interview, he probably played his best Rugby with us. I just hope he can get that form back and stay injury free.

Not sure why do many are against his signing, he was great for us last time out! Yeah, his last season wasn't the best but I wouldn't be putting my all in at work if they weren't paying me. At the end of the day it's a job and our club treated a lot of those players horrendously, I'm amazed he came back after all that. I'm happy to see him back.
I thibk im in the no side. But that is not for Lee gaskell as a player. More of i feel Nobby up to his usual contract signing tricks. Getting older "great" players and letting real young talent that could be the future of this club go out to other clubs. Got a whiff of harris signing Price and Peacock leaving with. Same with Lawford & Green out on loan

The talent was always there, just hope he can be relatively injury free and consistent. At the moment we have Holmes, Patten, Gaskell, Lawford, Jowitt covering the halves and FB. At least one of them has to go at the end of the season. I would prefer it to be Patten. And that is with keeping Lilley at hooker.
Really difficult to weigh up this signing. I'm still in the camp of remembering the sour taste of his temperament from last time. Either he was really injury prone, which has continued, or he was throwing his teddy out and feigning injury. I really don't know what value this signing has. IF Patton is on the way out, then Gaskill just might be a good fit. As others have intimated, we have youngsters just waiting for the opportunity. I really can't see their pathway to first team appearances when we bring in guys who are somewhat "over the hill".

It sounds like he wasn't short of offers so hopefully he has come back for the right reasons. As we know, if he's fit and in form he is a quality player but it's keeping him fit! Bit of a gamble, but does seem like the club are pushing a bit harder to be in that play off game with Fev at the end of the year.
