Fought for their lives in every single tackle and its a performance to be proud of. They could of easily gave in after that red card off the back of last week too but they didnt, wonderful to see.
Think everyone at Wigan has always known Havard's potential and he absolutely showed it yesterday. The best performance from a Wigan prop forward in years. He has a big big future if he keeps playing like that. Thought Shorrocks was superb too, worked his socks off and made lots of cover tackles which stopped a lot of half breaks. Special mentions to Smith, O'Neill, Smithies and Faz who were all excellent.
I hate the home cup/playoff games were everyone has to buy a ticket and it’s always an embarrassingly poor crowd but bit the bullet and got a ticket. So glad I did.
Not many there but the fans who were there were great and really got behind the team, celebrated every error like a try, supportive even after Wire tries.
Special day.

I also thought French was very good yesterday, really bent his back in defence, probably made more tackles yesterday than his whole Wigan career to date, wont get the headlines like he usually does, but worthy of a note is dispatches.
Wellens 3/10 Like public transport. Late, slow and stunk

Agree with this. He did a lot of the tough stuff while looking composed and calm in attack. Be interesting to see if Peet sticks with him there.
3 match ban for Ellis misses Salford, Huddersfield and Wakefield.
Back for Warrington at home week before Semi

Whilst on disciplinary matters, Grade F questioning integrity of referee for Griffin, could be sat down for quite a while, Grade F for the Leigh player with the spear tackle
3 games for that seems excessive (especially when you consider it’s 4 games in reality) to me but that’s the modern game. Raise none ball carrying arms in tackles and nothing, clobber a half back around the head late and get 2 games but move your head towards a player squaring up to you, with that little force it’s embarrassing calling it a head butt and you get 3 games.
Only himself to blame but it’s all a bit confusing at the moment.
That Hardaker one is another. Compare that to what Isa got 2 games for in the Wakey game!
When people call them out as bias against a particular team, I just don’t buy that. The disciplinary aren’t bias at all IMO but they are wildly inconsistent and seem to focus heavily on certain issues, while giving huge leeway on others.
