Danson owns "More than 25% but less than 50%" of Lenagan Investments Ltd - which essentially owns the club. In 2021 it looked like he had just under 28% of the shares. However there are now around 6000 more shares but I can't find anything on Companies House that details the new breakdown.
One of the new Directors of the rugby club Ben Goodman was yesterday made a Director of the Latics. He's one of Danson's people who has worked for him for a while.

Some shares have been allotted but not yet allocated. This will be updated on the next Confirmation Statement. The quantity allotted if all allocate£ to Danson will give him 49% of Lenagan Investments ltd which is the majority shareholder of Wigan Rugby. Will interesting when Danson finally buys the majority shareholding of Lenagan Investments

Is the plan to form a 'Wigan Sporting Partnership' as was proposed in mid 2020? (Link below). If so I'd be interested in the implications and subtleties of this in relation to the ownership of the stadium and responsibilities for upkeep. I'd assume there are a number of potential opportunities and benefits from the two clubs pooling their resources so it will be interesting to see if anything tangible emerges around this over the next few days/weeks.

I hope this is the first concrete step towards this venture. MD already owns a chunk of the Warriors and if/when he takes overall control, the first thing he should do is put the stadium into a separate company. Whelan made noises about it for years but never did it.

It was always a seperate company when Whelan owned Latics. Said company was just owned by the same individual that owned Latics. The football club, stadium, training ground and chip shop were all seperate legal entities.

Strange then that he flogged it to the gamblers as part of the deal instead of flogging it separately. Anyway, water under the bridge now. Danson is never going to evict himself, so the Bullitts and Bickymons of this world will never get to see the Warriors homeless. Sporting Club Wigan has begun its journey, and I'm sure youll be one of the first to buy a joint season ticket when they become available.

He sold the company that owned the shares in all the other companies. The Chinese then put the holding company into admin which put the entire lot into admin rather than just the football club.
If a joint ST saves me money and allows me to keep my different seats then yes I'm all over it.
