He deserves it, hes spent millions to see them relegated numerous times. The trouble Leigh are going to have is to set up a successful academy in an area Wigan and Saints are already successful in. If they can do that then they will become a SL club for the foreseable for me as at the moment they seem heavily bankrolled by DB.
They cant be far off the record for total points by a newly promoted side either.

After seeing the incident with Clifford you have to ask how not one official saw it. It’s quite a shocker, even if Clifford had lost his footing Charnley hits him directly in the head with full on forearm, it’s far worse than Cross on Coote last week and that was a yellow. Just shows how inconsistent and poor the standard of officiating is. Shoukd have been given a yellow at the least. Charnley should get at least 2 games for that but wouldn’t be surprised if he just gets a £250 fine. It really is about time the officials were held to account.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Money wins.

Effort there but you cant expect to defend for 80 minutes and give stupid penalties away and win games.
The incident has been placed on report.
Problem is it doesn’t help the team that’s been disadvantaged in the game the offence happened for an incident the officials shouldn’t have missed. If the game was only tv tonight that would have resulted in a card for Charnley and quite possibly one that was red.

That's what happens when games in the same league are played with different rules. Some games have video ref. Some games don't. It's an amateur run sport.claiming to be professional.

Don't think much to their forwards other than Ipape, so I expect us to win the forward battle. Then only have 1 good half in Lam. I know they are flying high and playing well at the moment, but I'd be disappointed if we lost this one to be honest.

I’m tempted to say ‘yes’, but I suspect you’re making a different point?
The thing is, even when there’s the occasional temporary outlier, I think we all know the total rugby budget to on field success correlation coefficient approaches 1.
The main secret ingredient of the successful clubs’ special sauce is money. There can other elements. Sustaining the spend to sustain and reinforce the success, of course. The benefits of incumbency that follow on from that.
It’s not new, although it has become more extreme. It’s kinda sad, but there’s a comfort in making peace with it. A bit like the prospect of death. I should probably get a job in the IMG RL marketing team. Have a slide rule and a hearse as mascots.
