Have to say early in the first half Warrington looked to be much faster than us and when we started with errors and six agains i feared the worst. To their credit the team dug in and provided us with a second half of effort, good rugby League and the best excitement of the season. What a pleasure it is to see us cutting loose from deep inside our own half, with players backing up,rather than 5 drives and and a kick. As others have said special mention to Clifford (apart from the place kicking) and Hoy should be brimming with confidence after that game and i hope we now start to see him emerge as a key player for us. I know McIntosh did better yesterday but our right edge of him,Scott and Lane is average so if they can be replaced with some speed and size, and we can keep Clifford,we could be looking at a very good team for next season if the club use their overseas quota wisely. Swift however is going to be a big miss for us

Wiz nice to hear from you You conveniently forgot that it was me a couple of seasons ago said we should move Griffin to the second row only to be pooh-poohed by the knowledgeable on here(said tongue in cheek) Griffin had a good game yesterday and i hope he keeps up the effort and form but he was crap in his later years as a centre hence the move to second row a decision taken by himself and the club. I am actually pleased for him that he has found some form and the shortage of UK second rows in S/L means he will probably get a years contract extension

You sound like former poster General Zod. So much bitterness to unpack. Breathe, and enjoy this window of relative good form - there's literally no need for unsubtle barbs against our hat trick hero.

He didn't quite have the good grace to mention or give the MoM, triple try-scorer any credit in his first after game post mind. How heartwarming to hear he's 'actually pleased' for Josh. I'm sure it's 100% genuine.

Can only assume it’s his stinker kicking for goal that has cost him. Missed out on the team of the week too.
