Powell was brought in to change the culture and deliver a GF. People may say he has done the former but to me unless he wins the GF then he hasn't done the former correctly. In a few months he will have virtually been here 2 years and he has not even shown a glimpse of turning us into a team with a killer instinct. That is what teams who win GFs have. We still do not as evidenced today. Seasons end, no GF? Get shut.

The reason I'm not wasting my time is that, without wishing to be rude, I find you a little obtuse. And therefore, I'm not going to debate with you when you don't seem to be able to comprehend points I'm trying to make via the examples I've given. Ie. That any new coach for any new club needs a reasonable amount of time to structure the side etc. (without going into detail). The most successful clubs and sides which have shown considerable improvement, have generally allowed their coaches ample time to coach their sides and not knee jerked into sacking their coach too early due to a poor run of form.
By the way, I'm not saying Powell is the right coach although I'm backing him. My main point is that any new coach should be given a reasonable amount of time and a year and half is not long enough in my view, given the fact that we've shown some promise and lie joint top midway through the season.
The 3 things I've come to realise in the last couple of weeks are... 1. Powell isn't good enough to win a GF. 2. Schofield is a nonce 3. Gazwire is still a weapon.

Anyway, enjoy the night Moe Syslak.
I find this nonsense in a current SL perspective though. We were NOT a million miles away with Price (GF and CC first season). Now I agree something needed to change and culturally he may be onto something but the alarm bells are now ringing that we are losing Clark (he will run riot at Saints) and we are left with two unintelligent hookers in Dwyer and Walker.
We have no depth in the squad (well none that he is willing to sacrifice 2 points for) and we have Minikin and Dudson. We played well enough to win the game today but we don’t have the personnel and Powell is making the personnel weaker.

Saints, the most successful team, have sacked THREE coaches who have won the title. They are ruthless, and that's why they keep winning. We're happy to have a guy who won nothing but made Castleford better than they used to be(oh, apart from the 90s when they won stuff!). Hope that wasn't obtuse
