Ultimately I think it’s a combination of the tinkering and injuries that cost us.

The less said about Olpherts the better. But Martin shouldn’t escape criticism, although he shouldn’t be in the centre. If we consist with him and Olpherts as an edge we might as well give the opposition 6-12 points a game.

Austin was good. I can see why we’d play myler with him when we’re short, but that shouldn’t be with the result being Handley at fullback, which is so limiting. I’d get him back on the wing next week with either sinfield or Hooley coming in.

The other player I’m struggling to defend at the minute is Bentley. Even the offload for the try seemed more luck than judgement. His strength is high intensity defence. If that’s the case he needs to start and play the majority of the game.
