Is Barron good enough though? I remember in the saints game last year he had an absolute shocker (although many others in the team did too), genuine question, does he have the ability to do well in first team? Or is he another youngster with promise that may end up at a championship team?

I know it looks like a big loss coming, but Warrington are a long way off where they should be , with that squad and maybe the likes of Vaughan, Dufty and Josh Maguire have brought their bad attitudes over to them. Vaughan and Maguire were both slated for drinking and having a party, involving a few St George players (think Dufty was one of them there that day) while the Aussie's were under the strictest lockdown during Covid, not only that but also tiktoked the event, such was their disrespect to the public and disregard for club rules, so maybe that culture has started to spread across a squad that, last year was slated for its attitude? Who knows, but I would like to think we'll at least match up, effort wise.

I would swap top-spot for our current league position and all 3 players mentioned above would breeze into our current 17.

Dwyer to score the match winner in the dying second. Then gets up and kisses the badge infront of the wire fans.

Wire to announce on Monday he's signed for them.

i'd like to think we're playing better now than last time we played them , Will be a tough assignment but Wire have wobbled a few times recently . Hoping for a tight game .

Interesting stat from the "what would Brian bevan say?" Podcast. I'm guessing Wire have played a fair few of the top 6 in those games.

Not expecting a win, but need to keep the performance levels up

Your reference to that podcast brings back memories of the the first Hull v Warrington game I attended back in 1948 when the great Brian Bevan played in a superb team including( among others) Harry Bath, Gerry Helme and an often racially sledged Roy Francis.

Hull had a few Aussies playing - Bruce Ryan(wing),George Watt(hooker) and Duncan Jackson(scrum half) and other players were Ivor Watts, Harry Markham and my favourite player at that time Freddie Miller.

The game was won easily by Warrington with B Bevan scoring at least 2 memorable tries with Francis starring too. I believe Warrington topped the league that season with Hull around mid-table.

Moving on to the 'Magic' game I predict Hull will eke out a win.

Always good to hear Freddie's bygone memories.
Shame about the proverbial kiss of death with his tipping.
10-03am train tomorrow from Paragon.
4 hours on the lash in The Strawberry before kick-off.
Sesh afterwards, win lose or draw.
Sleeperz hotel around the corner from station before Monday morning train home.
Easy innit.
Come on the Boys.
