Only worry for me is Hoy seems error prone and he is meant to be one of the players for the future. Not writing him off yet though

Totally agree still alot of players who won't take us to the next level

Likes of Lane, fash even cator won't win us a grand final

I think we all agree we need new players in to move up the ladder. Our youngsters are looking good so that looks in good hands. We have been a poor team the last few years and it's gonna take time. Smith I think will sort it. My main worry this year was relegation. Think that worry has gone. It's a big rebuild needed and one of which we have started

Did you watch the game, just find it abit odd you mention fash and Cator when they are way down the list when you look for first team improvements.

For me its about abit of leadership and quality in a few more roles, i think our halfbacks are brilliant, but weve inconsistencies and leadership lacking in the hooking role, quality and consistency lacking in the second row, workrate lacking at times at prop, and quality out wide on the right. As well as Hoy very inconsistent.

Cator and Fash have been pretty solid.

Love to hear why youve singled those two out

Agree with that as you need players like Fash & Cator in teams with their work rate and endeavour. They arent going to turn games themselves and not expected to. Fash is doing a good job considering he’s filling in as a front row due to the poor performance of Evans and his subsequent release. Think Cator has also come back from an awful injury period and other than a few daft penalties he’s given away he’s been pretty solid at 13 and brings a lot energy in to the side.

Lane I would agree is certainly questionable with his poor performances and despite showing some improvement in the last couple of games thought he was again poor today. For me Griffin has outperformed him by some way this season and would hope that Savelio is given another chance and one that he takes.

The lack of pace is also a particularly on the right edge but I imagine this is something that is already being addressed for next season.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

When you consider we are playing with a totally inept right edge which is rightfully targeted by the opposition, yet we still should have won that game today so you have to say under the circumstances we are doing reasonably well.
I think its time that Smith either considered moving Tuimavave into the second row or bring a half fit Savelio back and play him into match fitness
Whoever gave Lane a contract extension needs to give his head a wobble.
Unless we have an injury crisis i cant see McIntosh back in the first team and personally it wouldnt bother me not to see him again.
Barron has been 18th man on a couple of occassions but not got a game so would Martin be selected over him if Smith goes for a rookie wing next week.
That said we need some pace on that edge and cant see either of them having the brain farts that McIntosh has so for me give one of them a go.
We need to get a new right edge playing together before the Saints cup game as i think we have a real chance to turn them over.

Hopefully Litten will be back and play on the wing.

The kid will be ruined that's what you have to lose.
