It may be an oversimplification, but yes, just using the 6 again for what it was brought in for would be a start

If Mcdonnel gets a ban id appeal for it. He didn’t throw a punch

I saw Lomax indulge in a bit of petulant sledging (every side does it) on Walters. McDonnell lost his temper, ran in and ending up pressing his forehead against Lomax's. So technically a headbutt I guess. Not sure if that was what he was sent off for though. At the time I thought penalty Saints and a sin binning for McDonnell, maybe both. In truth I don’t think it impacted the result.

Sent off for throwing a punch spotted apparently by the TJ.
I couldn`t see it nor could the cameras but seems the TJ did.

That was such a satisfying win for St Helens.

What? Beating a team who had 14 players for the majority of the match, losing their 2 starting halfbacks and their star centre?

The Saints fans I spoke to after the game didn’t seem very satisfied.

It was a great effort by your lads on Friday. When all your guys started going down I was pretty confident we’d ease into a win by 2-3 scores but the effort and commitment of your players was unreal. I’d be made up with it if I was a Leeds fan. On balance, I thought you deserved the game more than we did but that’s sport. I felt the opposite when we played you in March so it’s swings and roundabouts. Gonna be a tough road for you now with all the injuries but I hope you make the play offs, always good for an upset and keeping the teams you play honest.

On another note it’s a shame you couldn’t keep hold of Walters. He’s not perfect yet by any means but he really does have the potential to be a top, top player. Gonna be horrible seeing him play for Wigan

The only reason they look up to you is because they chose to kneel.

Cheers for those comments.
I agree both games could have gone either way.
There`s certainly a resilience in the team.
We got some bad luck with the injuries and whilst both VR decisions were marginally correct I`ve seen them go the other way even with the involvement of VR.
Like to think we will see you in the GF

Well said mate and thanks. Nice to see a sensible discussion from rival fans
