Just seen a graphic that since that grand final ban got overturned, he’s played around 13 games, with 8 matches and this latest red card spread throughout that time. His longest run of games since then has been 6.

If I were a saints fan I’d be concerned. The old saying ‘availability is an ability’ rings true here.

just watched it on YouTube.
absolute shocker. the guy really is a piece of work.
I would expect, with his record, at least 4 games.
makes saints pathetic efforts to make him available for last season's grand final very shallow.

As an aside, I think McDonnell has been very good. You can tell he came through the Wigan academy. His defence and positioning have been on point. He's also chipped in with a couple of trys from good running lines. Of the Ablett mold, consistent and dependable.

Not a bad shout that with the Ablett comparison - Ablett was a bit more physical in his prime. He was actually one of my favourite players ultra consistent.

I think McDonnell could be a great player I'd like to see him get more running chances on the edge if he can match Abletts service to the club he'll have been an inspired signing.

He gets a bit of stick on here, but for me that's a big loss today if true.

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

An interesting line up due to forced changes. Sezers really going to have to step up after weeks off.
