Sounds like we made a good offer, and he’s decided to go elsewhere. Could be a number of reasons for that, but ultimately don’t think this can now be twisted into ‘Not valuing/trying to keep our young talent’

no idea what the offer was but what leeds consider a good offer obviously wasn't what Walters thought it should be.

Out of interest was Walters travelling from Widnes everyday or did he move to Leeds?
We made a decent offer to Hardaker and now to Walters and both have moved on.
Maybe those clubs offered a bit more or longer contracts.
It is all relevant.

Out of all our young forwards Walters is the one I'm least bothered about losing, he's hardly played. We move on!

This move will have more elements to it than just money. Very few people move for just money in any walk of life - its a fallacy to suggest otherwise. There will be other considerations, playing opportunities, coaching/development standards, location, family - not sure what his personal arrangements are, club culture, external issues - travelling, spare time friends etc.

What is a significant upgrade - if you are on £20k and someone offers you £30k that is a 50% uplift - the fact your peer group might be on double that still makes it a big upgrade. Its the starting point that matters.

You know what I know? Will there be any more movement with younger players?
