This. Although some of the names are nice, a lot have been out of the game for a decade.
Wards the stand out for me. Whether he would come is another matter, but SL opportunities look extremely limited, particularly in the immediate future. We've invested well in the squad, now invest in the coach.

I'd say that working for Nigel isn't exactly a major draw for an aspiring coach. I wonder how much say MD really had when it came to recruitment with Nigel, the CEO and Nobby all weighing in?
The business model of relying on loanees and dual reg doesn't breed consistency or team spirit either.
Previous recruitment has looked OK on paper but we seem to have signed a few injury prone players and when they're out of the side we seriously lack leadership.

Danny Ward would be my pick if we're playing fantasy rugby. That would be an appointment that would offer some hope and a coach I'd trust to improve the players we already have in the short term. Whether he would risk his reputation by coming to Bradford.. I'm not sure.
Somebody like Leon or Morrison would be popular amongst fans but I'm not convinced either are what we need.
But then I don't suppose there is a queue of top coaches banging down the door to Nigels office.

I don't think Danny Ward is entirely beyond us.
He's had one coaching gig where he overachieved. Nothing since, even though he went for the Leeds job last year and the Cas job this year, neither of which he got.
He's been out of the game since 2021. Where is he going to get a better job than us? Unless he hangs on for Wakefield, but that will probably go to James Ford.
He wouldn't be the cheap option - but I think he'd go down well with the supporters. He's proven at working with a small budget, getting the best out of a team, he's good with the media etc

Come on, Nigel. Do it!
Well after the merry dance the club led us all on last time around, I'm not getting my hopes up I'm afraid.
