They can't win can they. If they try to get someone in.....an ex international and man of steel....they are just clutching at straws, using sticking plasters, wasting money etc etc But if they don't, they are doing nothing, don't know anything, didn't listen to the fans...
Personally, I think it's tosh and we are not in for Gale, and Lino with Milnes is a better option anyway.

He's not any better anymore though, thats the problem, it would be a signing based purely on a past reputation. He was obviously done at this level last year at Hull and I watched him earlier this season playing for Keighley at Batley. He was the the 4th best halfback on the pitch that day and by all accounts has been a passenger all season for them. I'd prefer to plan for the future and play the kids than waste money on a near 35 bloke whose legs have gone.

Well, they could have 'won' if they had brought the right players' in the first place Since the Hudds game, we have brought in Hewitt, Forber, Senior, Mason, Milnes, anyone I've missed? Are we now a better team for having done that? The reality is we are getting players who are squad players at their respective clubs, which doesn't mean why might drop lucky and something clicks, but it's a low percentage of that happening, do you agree?

I think you are proving my point. No one is going to give us a player in their starting 17 are they.

Some were to cover injuries.
If we hadn't had Forber we would have had to name an injured player. Mason was here because Bowden and Tanginoa weren't ready.
Some were because we needed something different.
Senior came because we lacked speed. That wasn't quite the answer we hoped for but not his fault. Milnes is here because we lack creativity and Smith had made some errors. Normally you'd have a backup to drop Smith but the others are injured. I think Milnes is a good addition.
But my point that you refer to, is that the board will get criticism no matter what they do.

Sorry i know you are the clubs chief apologist but i can't agree with most of that.
We could have picked one of own youngsters like Butterworth or Pratt on the bench who were both fit and have been in the squad before but decided to help develop a Wigan youngster instead even though it meant having two hookers on the bench.
We left out Butler, Battye & Eseh who were all fit in favour of Mason who played 20 muntues and was never seen again. He was just never needed.
We might have wanted more pace in the team but what exactly were we expecting Senior to do with no ball? We tried using him as a battering ram and we've left him out twice now for Taufua who has been just as ineffective. If we weren't going to play to his strengths then why bother signing him?
Milnes i like but Hull KR want him back sooner rather than later. If their own statement is correct and he is just here for one or maybe two games both away at top teams then it would be pointless. The jury remains out on that depending on his longevity here, hopefully he is here for a period of time.
Hewitt after an iffy start has gone ok since and as helped us so that one has worked overall. Given our lack of depth at second row it made sense.
The board will get praise or criticism from me in equal measure based on whether they deserve it. More often than not right now with recruitment we are repeating the same mistakes over and over again and not learning our lessons. The worst thing you can do is compound an error by making more errors and Gale would be a prime example of this so i hope it's not true.
