Roby is irreplaceable but they’re probably getting the best of what is possible for them to get at this moment. Clark is better than Leeming so I think they’ve dodged a bullet there. Just hoping Wigan waste a shedload of cash on Thompson now.

One poster claimed that Clark is moving there to hopefully win something before he retires. 2019 has been eradicated from their minds!

Yes he’s going there just to win trophies and nothing to do with money as Saints would not break their communist pay structure (laughable that fairytale is). Turning down testimonial money and asking for marquee wages but going to play for Saints for merely the love of rugby league, some pork scratchings and free double glazing.

I don't blame him for going there to win trophies, historically he has a much better chance of Winning there than staying here.
But hopefully this year is the start of changing all of that.

Will he get a discount at Home Bargains also.

I'm not against Clark as a player. He's been very good for you and a constant threat. But he doesn't look anywhere near his old self at the moment and the worry is we get his 'one too many'. If we do sign him he's going to be universally criticised anyway. Whoever we get after Cunningham and Roby is going to be a relative disappointment.

Better to release a player a season early than a season too late.
I’d have liked him to have earned a 10 year gig with us, but he’ll likely get one awarded from the RFL if he moves on.

I think if he does move on, it’ll be mostly over money and he’ll leave a a friend of the club, unlike more recent departures.

I still don’t believe the rumours that he has a deal with Saints, I would have thought we were still talking with him and Currie.

An RFL Testimonial only lasts for 3 months. He’d be a fool to leave now.

Powell has effectively told Clark he is no longer No 1 hooker judging by his selection decisions recently. At least that is how I see it. A shame that the bigger pack has come at the back end of Clark’s career.

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

Huh?, throughout a good chunk of Clark’s Castleford career, DP used him off the bench.
He now has the option to do the same again at Wire…
If Clark can stay fit that is.
If anything, Clark starting and Walker coming on, is a reversal on the way it was at Cas.
