I had a nice return at the bookies on this one!!! Love an FC win and we needed it. Davy Litten proves 100% we should never worry about playing the Youth.

A likely story
Even though it got a bit squeak bum time at the end, we were in control for most of the game. Huddersfield never threatened us from deep, they've got some good maverick style players but we hardly saw them. Watson will be on thin ice if they don't improve.

Speaking to some Giants fans on the way back to Park and Ride and they're not Watson fans. He has a structure that the players have to adhere to so any flair players are not able to do what they're best at.

That was clearly evident in the cup final last year, probably the most negative displays I had seen and I went from wanting them to win, to hoping they would get beat
Think Connor will get very frustrated soon if he isn't allowed to play his natural game.
Have to say, he was class after the game and a nice touch to clap the fans.
I'd have him back here for sure, just not sure where you would play him.
Not sure how someone like Connor fits into a methodical Watson coached team. His game plan is effective when it works, but very restricting. Like when they went for two early on. They could have played on, and had Hull rocking if they’d scored a try. He’ll be expensive to get rid of, as he took shed loads of back room staff with him. Part of the reason he didn’t come here!

Eventually when everyone is fit(if it happens)I can see Litten going on the wing with Hoy 1 and Trueman 6, Smith said in his interview yesterday Litten is very good on the wing and at fullback. As long as we don't see MacIntosh I'm happy, Cameron Scott had a decent game yesterday on the wing too.

Stats are out, some good numbers, picks are Carlos best game of the season 161 metres Swift again, 152 metres (Having a good season IMO and must be kept) Satae, finally, 16 hit ups, 135 metres, 28 tackles (1 miss), this is what eh should be doing most weeks. Houghton 42 tackles (no misses), good yards made of og DH too, Litten 108 metres, 3 offloads and 8 tackle busts
Poor attaching stats for Lane and 9 missed tackles for Mcnarmara, these are still our two weak links IMO.
Hopefully with Hoy/Truman and hopefully Savelio (Although think his time at Hull might be done), these areas will be strengthened.

For me Swift is a no brainer to keep along with Satae, Macca is a sqaud player can do a job but has had to play lots of minutes this season, Griffin another always makes yards but then misses the tackle on McQueen tough one for me but a year deal wouldn't be a bad option, only player I thought struggled was Dwyer took the wrong options a few times like running it on the last, we should have popped a DG over at 20.8 with 6 to go.
