Something has obviously made it click this week. Got to keep rolling and carry it on in to the next game. Not sure the week off is a good thing at this stage even if it means fresh legs.
Re Cator, think it’s unfair to call him small given his rotten luck with injuries. Saw him in town last summer and he was an absolute rake, we will probably see him put some timber on slowly now he’s back fighting fit. He wasn’t small when he first broke through.

I wonder if TS will pick a 17 to play a game against the reserves during the international break which includes Trueman and Hoy to give them a run out in game situation?
At least with having no players selected it should be an uninterrupted 2 weeks to build on todays result.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

You would think so To bring Trueman straight back in without any competitive game behind him would be a mistake especially against a side like Wigan. We have seen what happens when Savelio and Tuimavave returned without games behind them.Tuimavave is just about match fit now. That said McNamara is just catch and pass and his kicking is awful so even an unfit Trueman could probably do a lot better

Can see Trueman coming straight in tbf. Smith said the artificial pitch that the reserves play on can tend to aggravate knee and achilles injuries
I thought Ligi Soa was immense, almost an old fashioned enforcer. Took on Chris Hill in the first scrum and every scrum after. In the second half when Hill went off Sao was free to play and made a lot of yardage and offloads. Satae had a buzz about him and was devastating when running from deep onto the ball but had to take too many flat passes. Taylor stood up well and was a lot more energised. The lightweight Fash, Lane and Cator were obviously fighting above their weight Gardener’s a prospect, didn’t flinch. Houghton was his impeccable best. Clifford controlled everything, MacNamarra did a thoroughly good job. The backs were really good running the ball back, big raps to Carlos and Swift but Scott deserves a special mention. Litten was superb, heard he’s of to Queensland Cup next year, hope he resigns for us instead. Griffin was excellent apart from the missed tackle for their first try, which he admitted to, hope he’s not too bad, he’d be a big miss, again. As you probably can tell, I’m a happy clapper tonight but a big test a week on Thursday then onto the banana skin
