Best win of the year IMO. Plus we should be getting a few players back. 2 weeks rest to. Happy days

Think Hoy will play 6 against Wigan.

Has to be in the 17 somewhere, probably on the wing.

If Hoy is unhappy here, we have a perfect replacement.

Also it's amazing what a decent performance will do for the atmosphere!

Absolutely buzzing after that, some real resilience from the whole side. Didn’t use two of our subs in the first 60 minutes which shows Tony smith really doesn’t rate the squad. For me, the big bits:

Houghton showed he still does offer a lot. Defended like a man on a mission and showed he can have a scamper when needed.

Litten, kids still so raw but oozes class. Does so much right but there was the silly offload that nearly cost us and getting caught on 5th. Do think when we have a fully fit side he’ll have a season or 2 on the wing before becoming our main man.

Clifford, don’t know why some fans don’t seem to rate him. First half I’ve seen at hull for a long while that can control a game, kick well and take on line. He’s the Full package and Huddersfield knew it. Kept trying to get at him and was unphased

The pack. Unreal. Ligi was obviously sent out to get into Hill and that’s exactly what he did. Spent first 20 mins just whacking him for fun. Satae, no one wanted to tackle and tag actually upped the intensity when he came on.
Gardner worked hard when came on but I’m not sure he’s 100% ready yet. Think pace was a lot quicker than reserves and got caught out a square once or twice.

I thought griffin was having a very good game, but I’m a bit concerned his career could be over. Looked like they were testing his ACL

A long way to go but 2 points is 2 points

Griffin has his knee strapped up at the start of the second half, thought he was going to come back on. Don't think it'll be an ACL

Well that’s was so much better in effort, desire and intensity from the off and almost for the full 80. Still a lot that needs to be better but not knocking todays performance as it was a fully deserved win from a team effort.
I’ve been critical of Houghton but credit to him he rolled back the years today. Ligi another who’s copped some criticism but thought he was another that upped his game today along with Taylor. Thought all round the team were actually playing as a team and for each other.
Clifford I thought showed just how good a half he is and can’t wait to see him and Trueman link up. Litten again was very good and assured even with a couple of rushes to the head.
Todays effort is all as fans we ask for and credit to TS and the team for delivering today, let’s hope they can build on today and realise that with effort they’ll get reward.

On a side note I’d love to know what we have to do to get 6 agains as I thought Moore was giving them for fun against us but seemed unwilling to give anything to us.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Congrats on the win and the attendance. Smith will get you there over the next couple of years. Looking forward to a good game a week on Thursday.

Great result for us that one ,Much better defence and player working for each other , Litten will be a star in a black & White jersey hopefully for years to come . Last play options are still mess but we got over the line today . I think Huddersfield were the perfect opposition to play today , They play a structured game which suited our game .

I was pretty confident we’d have a performance today and lose by 6-10.

Sat their pre game and thought hudds warm up looked half arsed. My mrs even turned to me and said, “They think it’s going to be an easy win today, we’ll beat them.”

Hopefully a few more teams under estimate us.

Feel like Connor will quickly get fed up at Huddersfield, Watson will ruin his mercurial talent. They really needed him to do something off the cuff but he tried to stick to the structure of grinding us down
