Fair point but it’ll be interesting to see where he gets Castleford to. Admittedly they were blunt in attack but defensively they looked a lot more determined and organised . Something went wrong behind the scenes last season I feel as that wasn’t a terrible squad but the signs of our current plight were there and we were relegation fodder after a decent start saved us in reality.

This is great but unexpected !
I actually bought a season pass about 5 years ago and obviously didn’t use it. I bought my brother a season pass this year as he’s off sick from work with stage 4 cancer. I’m over in Hull in mid June and will be paying for a seat in Corporate box at one of the games.
I also coached players that went onto play for Hull FC and also helped out on the Scholarship programme. I was a Shareholder and was active behind the scenes at times.
I buy Merchandise most years and have it shipped over for my daughters to wear, who are big fans. and of course a tee shirt and shirt here and there for myself.
I was of course at both games in Sydney.
Not sure what else I can do apart from contribute on here as to where FC are going wrong and right when they do.
My Barometer theorem is widely respected by Coaches and players alike.
it’s a forum - if we all had the same opinions it would be beyond boring
Apologies for my rant but I just don’t understand so called supporters stating that AP should sell up. I reacted over hastily to your post saying we should get rid of 15 players immediately, just where do you think the cash comes from for that? Hope you enjoy your sabbatical and we’ve started to win a few by then

I think , given how Cas played it’s gonnna be a straight scrap between us and Wakey now for the wooden spoon and cannot help but wonder if we should have gone with Last as our coach for a while longer - I know people wanted us to sever all ties with anything to do with Radders at the time But Cas looked well coached and resilient and a lot better than when Radders had them.
Absolutely not. To keep this on topic Pearson made the correct call in not appointing Last. Hodgson was a gamble that didn't work but Last was not the man for the job.
Last did a good job in steadying things after Radford was rightly relieved of his role. As COYU said AP made the right call in not appointing Last as Head Coach despite the recent job he’d done. BH in fairness may well have worked out had we a better work ethic within the core group but sadly the tail was still wagging the dog. The recruitment under Radford since 2018 was very poor and we are now paying the price for his band.
Watching Cas last night under Last they look to be the same as we were under BH but it’s next season and the season after that the will cost Cas due to Radford reforming his band there.
Think Pearson has the right man for the job and as a possible DoR in the future as TS will I believe be taking the weight of playing staff/team off the shoulders of AP & JC.
It’s a big job and everyone in the RL world knows it which is why TS proven track record and experience will pay dividends. Look at HKR now which, as much as their fans no longer want to admit, it’s the foundations that TS put in place that they are benefiting from.
For us now it’s hopefully short term pain for long term gain.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

well lets hope his overseas signings for us are better than he did at HKR Takairangi,Simms and Vete leave a lot to be desired They are on a par with Hodgsons failures

To be fair on paper, the first two were very good signings, when they signed everyone thought they had done well to get them, BT should have been a stand out SL player, but sometimes overseas signing dint work out. He also brought in Coote , Parcell and SKD, along with some really good pick ups like Halton, King, Abdul, Storton, Litten, Wood, Hall and Minchella.
A few squad player that didn't quite make it, but overall his recruitment was spot on and the bulk on the current Rovess team doing so well where signed by Smith.

To be fair to TS those three were all pretty decent NRL players, but it's obviously a gamble bringing any NRL player over, there's plenty of pretty naff players over here now that have had good NRL careers, Fonua, Mago and Kade Ellis at Wigan, Josh Reynolds, Kane Evans, Wakey are 'loving' Proctor and Atoni,

I won't deny that TS did lay foundations that were now seemingly benefitting from, but I'm not sure how much further he would have took us though, and I'm not just saying that because he's gone or because he's now coaching you either. Under TS we could always pull of a shock win against a top team, or push them close, but we couldn't do it consistently though, we had no structure and our defence was terrible too, poor fitness and line speed, Sky commentators loved us because we'd throw the ball around and score some great tries, he loves that 'heads up'style of play but that's no good when your still losing games. Time will tell whether he can change your fortunes, he's obviously got a track record of doing it so maybe he will, but I just feel his methods are out dated now, his softly softly approach to fitness training in pre season looks like it's a terrible idea now.

I've been around banking and financial firms in UK and Australia. I've seen ruthless performers in action. AP needs to be ruthless here. I also believe that after all this time AP is the main reason. Don't resign any of the 20 until we have to late in the season. However, I would let 15 go and I've said who. Absolute abject effort can't be rewarded with job security. That's sport business 101. So let 15 go and bring in 7 of the youth, who WILL NOT let us down (D Litten !!!!!). Then the other 8 from NRL/SL and the Champs. Easy to do and will pay massive dividends later. AP needs to act - that's how I see it.
