You got beat 50 nil in a challenge cup final at Wembley live on the BBC in front of the nation. I'll repeat, fifty, nil. How embarrassing can you get?

And an ex FC lad, a guy who started his career in the famous Black and White, scored five tries, breaking the challenge Cup record and taking the Lance Todd trophy..

And then the following two years we went to Wembley to show you how it's done properly.

I can guarantee that you'll always be the only club in the country that can be beaten fifty, nil in a challenge cup final. How was your day that day?

Yes it was a lousy and embarrassing day which was compounded for me by 2 Rovers players laughing and joking afterwards. I hung my head in shame. I was of a mind not to attend any more matches until every player involved had left the club but I swallowed my pride and disappointment and attended every game that I could. As a "small" club we know that we will take a severe beating from one of the big boys every so often. But it becomes a problem for a small club when they get thrashed several times a season over several seasons by other "small" clubs. The owner becomes like a rabbit trapped in the headlights. He issues statement after statement every season about major signings to come; jam tomorrow. And the supporters continue to fall for it year after year. The cancer spreads. Players steal a wage. Coaches come and go. Poor player recruitment and retention. Supporters become more and more restless. Sponsorship and investment becomes harder and harder to obtain because people want to see a return for their money. The smaller club probably doesn't own their own ground. Doesn't receive all the income from food and beer sales because a cut has to go to the management company. Have to pay rent to a landlord who they know doesn't want them there. A lease running out that the landlord doesn't seem overly keen to extend or only at a vastly increased rate. The owner may have to take a wage from the club because this is his source of income. Fortunately for Rovers this didn't happen. They steadied the ship over several seasons. Bought their ground. The owner is a successful businessman away from the club and could afford to put money in and not take it out. A coach and players who play for each other. Good, patriotic and loyal supporters. Income streams from sources that other small clubs can only dream about. They have recruited a strong Board of Directors. All successful businessmen in their own right. The club has a plan to expand and invest in its infrastructure and a Board and supporters to drive this ambition forward. So in my opinion, as a small club we aren't doing too badly in comparison to other small clubs. We've had our embarrassing moments in the past and that defeat at Wembley will always be in the records book. But we move on. Dwelling on the past will not alter anything. I suggest that you concentrate on your own club and address what are substantial current problems and issues.

Concentrate on our own club, that's what we try and do, the only reason Rovers get brough up, is because of sad Rovers fans who are coming on here every day with multiple accounts.

Your fans dined out on 1980 and the fact we couldn't win at Wembley for years,

You came here to have digs yourself, alot of it unfounded, as mentioned before unless you win a trophy no one will remember this season in 10 years time, like the times under Morgan.

Well, this is pot calling the kettle black isn't it. I responded to a post about Hull KR so why was he concentrating on Hull KR so why wasn't he concentrating on Hull FC? The truth always hurts doesn't it. A club in freefall and disarray. In a stadium that they occupy by an accident of geography in that the Boulevard was only a few hundred yards from the MKM that is now your alleged home. Where are your income streams? Look at your published debts. You are actually bankrupt. Look at the posts from your own supporters. It doesn't need me to to highlight them. What have I said that is "unfounded"?

You are just like the others, why are you so bothered about us, enjoy your moment, we are having a bad time of it, but like Rovers have done, I'm sure we will get out I it.

Do you have any evidence that the landlord doesn't want us or wants to increase our rent?

I've no problem in Rovers fans coming on here, having a little dig, but don't cry if we bite back and mention some things that obviously hurt your fan base.

Mild Rover, Des and a couple of others are OK, Keith wasn't too bad, but has lost the plot.

What utter Tosh, you haven't simply responded to a post about HKR as you imply. The post in question you claim is a reply to a total WUM as poor as they may be that has continually trolled unabated so its not merely a post about HKR as you may claim.
Also unless I'm mistaken whilst this may be a RL forum as a whole this particular part is a Hull FC forum for fans/supporters/followers of Hull FC to debate and discuss. As such we are also happy to have others from other clubs join and debate on all things on a sensible basis, give a little bit of banter but in doing so follow the AUP which is something a rather high number of HKR trolls are falling well short of. Much like you own thinly vailed dig at our club so spare the patronisation and go back to your own private forum and fill your socks back on there.

It obviously bothers a lot of you HKR fans to be constantly monitoring and posting on a forum that has nothing to do with your own club which I find very strange when HKR are seemingly having an improved season so far.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

You signed up in 2013 but your just another entity of Billy/Kieth and your also on my ignore list. This forum is becoming pathetic and the mods aren’t doing their supposed duties. I was threatened with a ban for far less than what’s happening on here, now. .

Clifford, Savelio, Scott and Taylor back. Too early fit Hoy and Mitch (who seems, very injury prone).

Any chance of winning this, Mcintosh,Lovodua, Lane and McNamara have to be 4 to make way.
