The pessimist side however thinks things will continue to get worse. Granted this is by far the worst position Wakey have found themselves in, however they have a habit of always just doing enough to survive. They know how and when to dig in during a relegation battle, whilst we don't. If we come to the final few games of the season with only a couple wins between us and them I would be bricking it
I’m in a similar boat here, you look at some of our squad and think surely we have to have a purple patch at somepoint. The purple patch only has to last 2-3 games to stay up lol.
I’m hoping this international break will be the catalyst for turning a corner. For me, we need to be looking at 3-4 days of real hard graft followed by a friendly against a mid table champ side. We have no one selected so can go out with a full strength side and then let kids have last 20-30 mins. Ironically it’s usually after the international break we fall apart so maybe we decided to be crap before it and class after
If I’m right, I heard Truey would’ve been available for that weekend had it not been the international break. If we can find a game on a decent pitch he could have a run and get 40 minutes under his belt before having the pressure of winning us a grand final with and unbeaten run all the way to world Club champions
