With the vote for the IMG proposals taking place tomorrow i noticed that Hunslet had a fans forum in which there fans got to choose which way there club would vote on these proposals. Do you think that our club should of done this to at least get a idea to how the fans feel about these potential changes to the game.

The club should definitely have had dialogue with fans to gauge their feelings and take note of how fans felt the club and the game should go. Whether the BOD would be influenced by the feedback would be up to them but at least the supporters should have a voice, the club belongs to us all at the end of the day.

I’m not sure how to insert images on this particular forum as it’s a bit dated , either that or my brain is a bit dated but I subscribe to a magazine called thirteen rugby dot com . I will copy and paste the appropriate section below
Is there enough support outside of Super League?
Well, it isn’t unanimous: far from it, in fact. But yes, there is enough to get it across the line.
Thirteen has been told that clubs including York Knights, Newcastle Thunder, Bradford Bulls, Halifax Panthers and London Broncos are a green light. Not only does that take the game past the magic total of 28, but it assures enough support from the lower-leagues, too.
Keighley Cougars, the main dissenters to the plans, have whipped up support at clubs including Batley and Dewsbury – but it won’t be enough.

As I've repeatedly said, any non SL club voting for these IMG proposals are akin to turkeys voting for Christmas. That includes Halifax.

Basically do not go up this year we have no chance ever. Defo wont be renewing my season ticket and will pick and chose games. Licensing is not for me and is not how sport should work
I wonder why Halifax voted for it if it meant we never have a chance of promotion, I know they have set up a separate entity to deal with img and appear to be doing everything they can to benefit the club , they could do with announcing something just to clarify our position.
hooligan saying he won’t get a season ticket next season seems a bad reaction. Surly taking money away from the club is counterproductive. What ever league we are in I want us to be the best team in that league whether it’s SL or the championship. And trying to be the best strongest team in our league can only help the club get license. I hate it but it’s here now so let’s keep supporting the Panthers.

There's always posts like Hooligan's which are always followed by posts like Faxlore's. Personally I go down Hooligan's way of thinking. A very, very sad day for our club especially as seems likely we were daft enough to vote for it!
