Knocker_White wrote:Pretty spot on BT. Thought we didn't start that badly but errors and lack of cohesion gradually crept in and affected us. Fev made the most of the opportunities presented and looked pretty comfortable, even when we turned it up to 11 at the end. Two sobering league results, so hopefully we can put a strong performance in against Dewsbury and reset the confidence levels.

I wonder what will constitute a reasonable season for the owners. I can see us finishing 10th but higher seems a stretch. I’m also a bit concerned that one down the bottom is Barrow. I suspect they are better than that and Haven who haven’t impressed already have 8 points. By no means obvious who will go down. Staring down the barrel of 2 seasons outside mid table. When can we expect an upturn especially with all players off contract at end of season.

Then? At least International Mad-Agent Grope will have finally told everybody which echelon they have designed to put them in for all eternity.

Thanks for your earlier words, BT, overwhelming sensation tonight was relief at dodging a bullet. Thankfully said bullet turned out to be a dumdum.

On the assets side of your sheet, you today kept Fev below their average score (as quoted by Orangeman earlier this week) and caused them to leak more than average (see above).

All the best for the cup(s).

Pleasantly surprised that we didn't get a spanking, but as others have noted we are not "mid-table" any more and are hovering above the trap door.

We're only behind York on points difference ( because of the two recent losses) and we're at their place next in the Championship - can we get a result up there? Maybe.
Next home game v Barrow - need a win as we have Toulouse again shortly afterwards.

Cake on twitter says we will get better as the season progresses, for which we will all be grateful if true. He also says he hopes to get a few more players in. Let's hope it is before the end of the season though.

The perennial question and not one I expect them to give us any reliable answer on tbh. I agree 10th is realistic and although I had hoped we'd be able to push on in and around that 8th spot, I'm not sure we currently have the quality or depth to challenge and hold it. I didn't expect Barrow or Newcastle to struggle as much and you certainly feel Barrow have it in them to go on a run. York will get better once they get over there little injury crisis too you feel. Hopefully our late/loan signings can properly bed in soon and if so I can maybe see us going on a late season run, when warmer weather and drier tracks maybe favour us a bit more.

The top 4 seem to be stretching away and are already sitting on pretty big positive points differences and we're not even into May yet!
