Saints this year will have to do a Leeds and play crap all season and scrape into the playoffs. Then who knows with everyone back?

The usual prat has already started posting spiteful threads aimed at Wire fans. It's ironic that he talks about jealousy.

.

You mean rest the players and conserve energy until the important rounds? At least it is a refreshing change from the usual conspiracy theories and accusations of victimisation.

That's still definitely happening. Saints get a yellow card again tonight. Hull KR concede 7 penalties for high shots and late hits and get nothing. They're not even hiding it.

I think it's fair to say that we should remember that we can scoff on the current form on certain teams but, we must also remember, nothing is won in April, and humble pie can be consumed regrettably later.

   You should have seen the decisions in the Leeds game tonight. A late hit on Sezer that resulted in him leaving the field for HIA assessment, and the ref played on - whilst turning around to look at a motionless player on the ground no fewer than three times, but ignored it completely. Numerous foul play ignored, constant offsides, missed handling errors, and Leeds receiving hardly any penalties. Whatever happened to RFL standing for 'Rugby Football Leeds'?

It'd not a conspiracy, it's just poor refereeing. It happens in all games against all teams. St Helens fans don't understand cognitive bias and refuse to take their blinkers off.

Completely agree with you. As has already been pointed out, silverware has been won from a poor first half of the season on numerous occasions.

I wonder how soon the conspiracy theories will disappear if Saints hit a bit of form? Will the resident pest still think Wire's bubble has burst if they get another 8 game winning streak? Both are very possible.

It is not a first past the post league structure, and you only have to finish top half of the table and hit a bit of form and good luck.

It’s just a ridiculous notion to suggest any were the same as what lees tried to do. He shot out the line, put a swinging arm action in and practically gave his a hair cut it was that high.

Tackles high that involve player going into the line and putting footwork on and getting caught high are just penalties, don’t need to see all of them carded. Saints also gave away 3 of them throughout the game.

If lees didn’t think he was the big I am and just controlled his defence it wouldn’t be an issue, but he’s got to try and be an ‘enforcer’

You've pretty much nailed it.

Saints play a big aggressive game with early shots out the line and big hits on the fullback as soon as he catches the ball (helped them massively in the WCC) but seemingly when they get it wrong their fans don't think they should be punished. Can't have it both ways. Tone down the aggression or accept players will be binned/suspended when they balls it up.

I see our resident troll is absent after another shock defeat by his team.

The pattern is very familiar, Jean and Sir Kev used to do this also

Lees cleared again as again it shouldn't have even been a penalty. But go off.
