Lot's of talk about the coach and whether he should go or not. One of the sky pundits (McDermot?) said Wayne Bennett would struggle to coach our players. He's right and not being disrespectful. The player quality is simply not there-doesn't mean they're not trying, but you cannot coach what isn't in there. If you get rid of Mash (and at what cost?) who's the available proven coach we know would get us out of this mess? (and at what cost?) IF I knew with certainty that a certain coach was out there who could do that, then I'd go for it, even if it meant borrowing the money to do it! BUT it would be a huge gamble, certainly not worth the risk IMO, and I really doubt any coach would get our players to respond! I'm a realist and can't see a way out of this-hope I'm wrong-but for me the inevitable will happen this year. I'm a bit sick of one sided SL anyway the only thing I'll miss about it is the bigger crowd we get in SL compared to what we'll get in the championship, when I suppose 50% of our 'loyal' supporters will disappear!

If we do get relegated and start to win we may get new supporters

That's true - if only we could keep the support we have though, that would be a dream! There would be some good local derbies and as you say winning some games. I actually enjoyed a lot of the games when we had such as Mark Conway, John Glancy, Paul Mallender, etc playing. we played good rugby and won!

I enjoyed when we came back to super league, we played some good stuff under Andy Kelly, we travelled in decent numbers, everyone got on, we had a good time with no expectations, now we get fed endless lies and most accept mediocrity and hang on the messiahs every word. It seems like a jolly boys club at times and people should remember it's the fans club and not theirs.

TBF I don’t think things could get any worse than having a coach with a 100% losing rate.

If you see effort in Atoni then I’m watching a different game ,he’s supposed to be our replacement for Fifita or Arona neither of which he could lace their boots with his pitiful performances so far . I personally don’t see Jorge breaking any pots , or dare I say lynne or Hood . As much of our supposed quality players are under performing and as you call it (the effort) is then left to the rest to pick up the pieces , which is why we are where we are , staring down the barrel
can't see any point in bringing players like Proctor Atoni and Jorge over here when they are no better than Battye Crowther and Kershaw. In fact it's debateable as whether they are any better than Croft Shaw and Brad Walker who were all let go because they were supposed to be not good enough

I agree about Atoni. I'm not saying he isn't trying but the effort he's putting in isn't good enough for me. The others I don't agree. Jorge isn't TJ or Murphy. He never has been. He was getting the most yards of any player in the team when he was playing. They are just hard yards. I wish he was a bit faster.
But equally when you watch Langi, Smith, Lino, they tried everything they could to get us across that line against Cas.

I haven't come across one person who has been 'happy' with Atoni, yet he continues to be selected. Why isn't he loaned out to Bradford and not Butler?! Don't get me wrong, I really don't think there's any difference between the props we have, Whitbread stands out and the rest are barely Super League standard. Also, Smith is only playing because Gaskell got injured, so i wonder if he will walk straight back in??
