Absolutely terrible player.

He came on, penalty straight away. Runs it in with the same impact as a 13 year old playing open age. Hands on hips after 10 minutes. The lads an embarrassment. Genuinely can anyone think of a worse prop we’ve signed then him, I’m struggling.

No club statement. Are they just burying their heads in the sand?

Well without causing a thread drift I wouldn’t be on a Wakey forum talking about a Leigh v Salford game would I - it was more a comment as to how important it was for Wakey on a Wakey forum, now you trot on and get on with your hyperlink edits :thumb:

You played some incredible flowing attacking Rugby that day and destroyed an admittedly young Leeds team last 15-20 mins of the game.

Why has it gone so far downhill for you?

They fact that the young Leeds team you talk about were winning until they tired in that last 20 should tell you all you need to know. This squad of ours isn’t super league quality and the coaching set up can’t make it greater than the sum of its parts. That is why we are doomed.

Very hard to take anything positive from that. Extremely poor from the majority. Big changes needed if we're going to compete with anyone this year.

The plus is Cas weren't much better than us, FC look dreadful as they're playing KR now.

Time to get our poop together, starting with a new coach.

For anyone watching todays game you’d be forgiven for thinking different rules apply and the referees officiate differently…

Case in point:

On 9 minutes Wigan player makes a mess of play of ball. Lees doesn’t have a hand on him. Penalty to Wigan for messing about. Commentators saying Saints hard done to.

Yesterday: Dagger has Broadbent fall all over him as he’s trying to play ball. Broadbent hands on pushes him off balance. Knock on against trinity. Commentators saying should have been a Trinity penalty.

That led to our pressure vs Cas 12 men releasing and I think shortly after Cas svored the try that took game away. This was also a play after Dagger copped one in the face from Cas player to split his eye open. Appealed to ref who ignored it despite blood pouring from his eye.

Are referees applying the rules differently???

Do lower teams get officiated more harshly due to a perception they don’t have the skill levels to do things as correctly as top clubs?

It’s bad enough watching the poor performances but it’s just as bad seeing terribly inconsistent officiating that may not decide games but it certainly influences play and momentum.

Top six 2005 - Trinity.

there was nothing wrong with the referee last night and plenty wrong with our team and there's plenty wrong at our club from the very top.

Mopsey I already said that about the team. That was not the point. I am not blaming the ref and I’m not allowing you to derail my question on referee consistency in applying rules into a conversation about the clubs management. We can discuss that after if you wish.

So you are saying you believe the decision against Dagger for a knock on was a correct interpretation of the rules?

After watching the saints/Wigan game lesser messing about a penalty was given to the player playing the ball. I’m genuinely confused as to where the line is drawn for a penalty. It doesn’t add up unless referees apply rules differently.

Top six 2005 - Trinity.

I have to agree.
The ref wasn't why we lost but he made it more difficult.
Cas defense on the line was string because they were consistently offside.
There was one I saw where the ref was stood on the line to get them back and he had to look around the Cas player stood in front of him to see the play.
