Gaskell I’m thinking at 13 next week for some attacking options

Gaskell isn’t a loose forward and would get smashed.

I’d play Whitbread there and bring in Eseh, Battye,Atoni and Bowden (if finally fit) as props.
Don’t think Hewitt adds anything to the team and Tanginoa/Pitts should be alongside Ashurst.

Thought Mason was ok but potentially not match fit if only playing 15 mins….

There are lots of players in the amateur game that bring more to the table than Atoni does.

Absolutely terrible player.

Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

Yeah it’s a gamble I know but we need a set of hands there.

We'll have a fine coming our way for that and the smoke bomb.

Absolute idiots. Guess the guy with the beard who threw the flare is already banned as he proudly stood there clear for all to see. Then we had the beer bottle thrown onto the pitch, followed by the usually repeated dousing of fellow Wakefield fans with thrown beer.

Cas will be glad to see the back of them.

Some drastic changes needed but it’s absolutely glaring after tonight where the problems lay.

9, 11, and 13.

Kershaw had a couple of missed tackles but I was more dissapointed with Senior and how he took the bombs but just cantered it up a few times.

Lino and Smith need to stay at 6,7. There was no issue there tonight for me and both created issues.

We seriously need some attacking guile at 13, better distribution at 9 and some edge forward strike power.

Ashurst, Hood, Senior and Crowther out after tonight.

Gaskell I’m thinking at 13 next week for some attacking options and hands/Link up or even Bowes who has played there many times in the reserves (though I’d prefer him at 9).

8. Bowden
9. Bowes
10. Whitbread
11. Tanginoa
12. Pitts
13. Gaskell

14. Proctor
15. Eseh
16. Butler
17. Kay

Appelgarth may as well mix things up at this point.

Seriously gaskell at 13, im been Serious youd be better putting the 18 year old academy lad there before gaskell, dont know who said it but maybe langi could do a good job there but then who plays centre......or just leave crowther there.

Gaskill at 13, you having a laugh. I bet Derek Turner would come back from beyond the grave to play against him

It’s that desperate imho. I know it’s a bold move but Crowther was a huge stunt for attack tonight.

Seriously watch the game again. Ball was sent along the line numerous times and hit Crowther in the middle begging for it to be shifted into space but he consistently ran it into the middle.

Yes he ran it in hard but it’s massively dumb rugby. He’s not an offloaded and can’t promote the ball like Westerman etc so he needs to either work on his passing or find a way to take the ball to the line and release a pass or draw defenders.

He’s all the effort in the world but the smarts and skill aren’t good enough.

Maybe Gaskell isn’t the answer but we have huge issues at 9 and 13 especially that must be sorted.

Tanginoa will instantly improve our edge forward attacking threat. Pitts has played well last 2 games so there’s only 1 player missing out for me and that’s Ashurst.

Maybe we run with Bowden at loose? I’m sure he’s played plenty there over the years (I think).

Heck, was clear to see the issue areas tonight but fixing them isn’t as easy.

I’m trying to think of how it could be improved

If you want a bit of creativity at 13 then Langi is the only option we have with Gaskell at centre, although it's not a position he's played a lot of. Problem is he's just had his best game for us at centre and there has to be some doubts about whether his body can handle the extra workload. He seems held together by sticky tape most of the time.

But a lot of pressure on you now - almost a must win against us

Col, that's a poor post from you. We shouldn't even be thinking about playing Wakey until we have played Salford.

Leeds fan in peace…Where have the team gone that played at Leeds on Boxing Day? What has happened?

You played some incredible flowing attacking Rugby that day and destroyed an admittedly young Leeds team last 15-20 mins of the game.

Why has it gone so far downhill for you?
