Greetings Leythers.............. My favourite short away trip on the V1 Bus has come round again. Normally it is a quick pint in the Centurion and into the ground.
Quick question, we have some young fans with us this time, is there a decent place to go for a pre match drink noting the Centurion is small. I used to go into the Water Side but this is gone. Any suggestions greatly appreciated Leythers.

I believe quite a few Salford Fans went into Oscars (formally spinning Jenny ) just by the bus station a few weeks back

Leigh East clubhouse is excellent and next to the LSV.
I’m really interested to see how we line up at 1, 6, 7, 9, and how we strengthen the right side defence. If Joe Mellor is fit, I’d play Ben Reynolds at centre inside Tom Briscoe. Imagine Zak having Lachy, Joe, Asiata and Ben R to run off. Also Reynolds has the best defence of any halfback, that he can easily transfer to a centre spot. Keeps his kicking on the field also. Regardless, I trust in whoever Lammy and Co put out there. We win this game and the next 3.
First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can. “Up The Comics !”
As much as I’ve spoken about Reynolds and not massively rating him as a 6 in this league , I think he would make a decent 13 if Asiata is ever missing or needed in second row. Tackling is 2nd to none and got good hands. As with Lam , I feel you need a bit of magic about you in the halves and not be predictable. Steady away is good when things are going well but won’t get you out of jail in close games.

Don’t think Reynolds has ever played Centre, and now is not the time to find out the reason why that is - be very surprised if chamberlain doesn’t there. And no point having him on for his kicking if we don’t score the tries, so Mellor at 6 for me, we were very one dimensional gains Wigan because everything went through Lam
