Shaul hasn't had a good game at FB since 2018, be really disappointed if he plays him instead of Litten, who has impressed for the reserves, pre season, training and in brief spells there for the first team.

Rather play Mcintosh there, at least he has played a game in the last 6 months, madness to through Shaul straight I.

Quote:In truth Lovodua is a signing that we can ill afford to have with it being a quota spot he takes and didn't see much logic in renewing his deal especially with Houghton extending.
But then this is why the squad is in such a mess as the recruitment and retention has been mismanaged since Motu left the role.

Absolutely this. To be fair to Lovodua he hasn't really had a good run in his favoured position to see what he can do. Using a quota player as a utility is very poor cap management.

If it's true that Houghton had the option of extending his contract it beggars belief.

Ben Mac sounds like he'll be back for Friday which is good news. For all he doesn't do flashy stuff we did look better going forward before he got injured.

he is ok if you just want catch and pass
I dont think running with ball can be classed as flashy.Just not in his DNA.He doesnt have any pace and that will always hold him back.

so why mention performance related when he has been our best second row and is getting back to full match fitness.
He is either dropped or rested/managed

You have a point and possibly Savelio.
dropped partly performance partly managed is bull poop
Its one or the other given he was our best second row now he is getting some match fitness
More like words have been said that Smith doesnt like.

I know alot have been saying Savelios been our best forward and in an attacking sense i agree. But when you watch some of the tries conceded hes been one of our worst offenders defending. Been caught very flat footed when sliding in defense and alot of his efforts have been very lazy.
I think a huge part of the right edge struggle is down to Lovodua charging out the line like a lunatic and Savelio being so slow in defense. Hence Litten charging inside trying to pick up the pieces.

Wouldnt suprise me if Smith has seen exactly the same.

Lovodua has to be moved on and i hope hes one whos actively been offered around. Savelio im undecided on id see this as a kick up the booty by Smith to see if he reacts and ups his defensive efforts if not then it could also be bye bye Savelio. Injured too much for me and as shown lately abit defensively lazy. Were carrying far too many of those.

There's no pressure on us at all. Pundits and our friends from the East are in no doubt that a record win inevitable. They've every reason to believe this as the glory years are returning and we are fighting relegation. If we keep it below 30 points it'll be a shock.

However I've just had a crazy thought. What if a miracle did happen? The robins faces will be redder than their shirts. Mad idea I know.

miracles are not 50-50 if you fancy rovers that much lump on at evens, there is pressure building if you lose, very tough comp this year a 1pt win either way will do for either club, no chance of any record scores on friday im affraid
