Key word there was ‘Try’. The smart thing to do is to look at clubs who need certain positions and are desperate enough to take a punt.

Hull fans quick to forget Joey is playing out of position, covers numerous positions and out of contract. It’s not that far fetched a club would be willing to take a punt on him till the end of season.

Who is the outside back?

In all the years I have supported Rovers this is the first time I can say there is not one of FC’s squad that would improve us.

Think there’s rose tinted glasses there, just because we’re a poor unit right now doesn’t mean we have some top players:

- Clifford walks into pretty much every SL side. Bet he wishes he went Warrington to partner Williams behind their pack.
- injury free, Savelio is a Rolls Royce.
- trueman hasn’t played yet so the Jury is still out but he’s probably a bit more reliable than Lewis right now.
- Hoy would also be class in a decent side where he doesn’t have to take 10-15 hit ups from his own 10. I think fullback is probably where rovers need to look.

There’s a few of our props would also get into your 17 if they can get back into form.

Haven't been overly impressed with Opicic either. He came over with a lot of fanfare and he's been okay and that's about it. At the moment I'd rather have Carlos over him. Might be proved wrong over time but can only go on what I've seen so far.

Opiac has been steady for them I think. And he’s a better age than Carlos. If Carlos could stay injury free I’d have him over SKD at this point of his career.

A lot of rovers best players are the wrong side of 30 and that would be my concern if I was a rovers fan.

Where as my concern as an FC fan is we’re crap

Think you're wearing the rose tinted specs.

Cant say I disagree on current form, to be honest. We have Clifford, and Trueman still to come, but its not as if your short on two good half backs.

Can see why you've sold 5k for Friday for the first time in god knows how long, id be coming into this extremely confident as the mood in the Hull camp sounds terrible to say the least

You spend enough time on here looking. Could’ve fooled me.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

Against Wire he was woeful. If you go on present not past performance he is not SL standard. Opicic is not the flashy centre who catches the eye. His defence is excellent and has helped stop the leaks down the right. He is still settling in but has started to score tries and provide assists. I suspect what you have seen of Opicic is his first match against Wigan on tv and edited highlights. Not really a good way to assess a player. A player who only missed a grand final in the NRL because of injury is no average SL player. You are very welcome to Carlos on present form and I emphasise the word present he wouldn’t get in our reserves should they actually get to play a match.
