I can't say it's definitely not true, but the rumour was started by someone comes out with these random things all the time, and said - the rumour came from here - was in exchange for Evans - and 'could happen' considering the board when challenged.

It's not that people don't see it. But the decision has already been made. You can't just stop paying someone because you don't like them any more.
If we are still here next year, a lot of contracts won't be renewed I'm sure, but to release now would mean we had to pay them up, which wastes more money.
