For 2024, I don’t have any clue who to try and sign from the NRL and whether we can get better that what we have. The only one who must go for me is Fusitua. He has talent but is too slow and when we gave away the soft try v. Catalan he was stood close by waiting for the next carry and literally stood like a statue when Martin lost the ball and did nothing to stop the try, he looks to me like retirement is beckoning which is sad because I bet he was good when fit 5 or 6 years ago.
He was good really good but dropped off a cliff and found himself not making the 13 moved around and still on the outer got a good deal for himself in superleague and bombed out I think you're right he's yesterdays man.

Funny how often superstar NRL lads absolutely sink without trace, I wonder why they burn out like that?
I wish Kruise all the best, nice lad. He will feel rejected by Smith after getting really attached to Leeds, you wouldn’t expect him to be pleased about it.
Right decision for me though and Smith needs to sweep the broom through several other signings made under Sinfield and Agar. As much as Sinfield is golden balls and I do love him, I can’t think of a single signing he made that worked out and Agar not much better.

Leeming just sounds bitter, the truth is regardless of our current very patchy form, O'connor is the better more consistent 9. Leemings ego either just didn't want to stay around and fight for that position or just fancied a year in aus, if so fair enough but if he was the better player he'd have been picked. In fact Smith recognised Leemings off season work by starting him the first couple of games and he was pretty average and poor at times.
Thanking everyone by name bar Smith just makes him look a bit of a tit. He lost the shirt, noone else.

I don’t need inside knowledge to have s view on his statement.
Him declaring himself captain on a CC winning side (Gale was captain) then his obvious dig at Smith is as I say petty.
I don't see any dig at Smith he's just being honest,Smith told him he wasn't in his plans Leeming didn't like it and asked for a release but some on here are making him out to be the pantomime villain.

Smith told him he wasn’t in his plans? Do you have any evidence of this? He started him in the first two games of the season.

It’s obvious . He got dropped after the Hull game when he ran it on 5th tackle down a blind alley, at least X2. Think that was enough for Smith and rightly so as was like watching a schoolboy game!
