It’s clear as day that a majority of the playing squad needs to be cut from the club as the mentality and attitude is just not there and hasn’t been for some time. The recruitment and retention since 2018 had been very poor and too many deals were done as mates rates & favours which has set us back considerably. TS is likely to lose the battle but ultimately win the war at the end of the season. Listening to Powell regarding the struggle he had because of the rebuild he did during last season which he completed in the off season is very much were we are now.
I just hope that Smith has already made the decisions on the majority not being renewed and targets being sought and acquired for next season.

The lack of effort and application is inexcusable regardless of how talented or not the 17 maybe, they are playing like dead men walking.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

TS is being diplomatic about the playing group and rightly so. He has to work with them on a daily basis. Looks like he’s tried to get them on side but for whatever reason they’re not capable or willing to give it a go.
I’m sure every fc fan would fully support playing some of our reserve team.

Sorry you don't agree but it was just comments like, "I'm pleased to say our responses in the second forty were a whole lot better." Ive watched that back since and we were by and large just the same in the second half, players completely lost in the attacking line and failing to win the wrestle in defence. Fact is Warrington were just cruising with one eye on next week, and who can blame them, and that made us look a little better.

Sorry Tony but its just not working for you here
Your interviews are becoming boring and dont reflect what we are seeing on the field and maybe this laid back approach that you have is also sending the players to sleep so they dont wake up until the second half.
You had an opportunity today to try something different at half back as we all can see Lovodua at six just doesnt work.Hoy is a huge disappointment at full back and maybe a few weeks at six would give him more opportunity to run with the ball and increase his confidence.Litten then would been available to have played in his best position at full back as he is not a winger.
You could then have played Mitch on the wing which at least would have bolstered that right edge defence but looks like his face doesnt fit as he was relegated to playing in the reserves today after also missing out last week.
For some reason you keep faith by playing Houghton and Taylor Why? These two are way past their best and should be top of the get rid list followed by Evans,Lovodua,Griffin and Shaul.
Satae has gone backwards this season and could be unsettled due to Sao leaving.
As fans we all know this season would be difficult with a major re build for 2024 but since Smith has arrived the defence is a shambles. If there is one thing we know a coach can do is produce a hard to beat defensive team out of average players and this is where Smith should have started.Make us hard to beat then start to improve the attack.
Had high hopes for Smith then started to have doubts when Gene was announced as his assistant.
Now i dont think he will see out the season

A very honest post.

May as well talk to the wall Wilf
That comment by Smith about the second half was the last straw for me
I seriously dont think his heart is in the job. There is no anger, no passion.
He will make it easy for Pearson and walk away
