I don't recall seeing him interviewed last time we were on Sky.

Also what has our status as big club or NRL crowds got to do with Danny Houghtons supposed hogging of interviews?

Quite alot of times after he's straight across to the sky interview board even without anyone coming to him

Fact is he's still the only man of Steel winner who's never had a full international cap get rid

Our own fans think we're a big club but we're not in the grand scheme of things

Probs not a bad thing living outside of hull

Players like Houghton and taylor thinking they are the most famous people from hull esp Houghton hogging the sky interviewers win or lose

Maybe they do but other than Catalans we along with our dear neighbours are the furthest away from the majority of clubs so the effects aren't quite as noticeable.
Many players have said commuting is not great or ideal for a number of reasons such as team bonding elements and more importantly recovery after training and games.

Even Brad Dwyer has mentioned these as one of the reasons he moved to Hull.

Considering we are one of 2 SL teams in the same City and still have one of the biggest fan bases its fair to say we are a big club in the sport in this country, as many within the game attest too we are a sleeping giant.

Wrong aussie rules is

How many clubs play in sydney ?

Both sydney clubs, parramatta, canterbury

Sleeping giants our crowds didn't improve much in 2016 or 17

Wigan and saints regularly sell out 25k

Fc/rovers hasn't got close to selling out kc for over 10 years

Hull is bigger than St helens and Wigan put together

No it's not ideal but alot of players will travel up and down across the league not just us

Kris welham used to travel to Salford from hull so works both ways

For live attendances yes AFLs beats the NRL but TV audiences (where the money is) the NRL are No.1, both sports are huge in Aus with the NRL not being that far behind the AFL for live sport and just no comparison to SL here

You just can't compare the NRL to SL its like comparing the Premier League to League One.

Wigan and St's have a history on consistent success in the game and particularly the SL era so no surprise their derbies are better attended than the Hull derby when both Hull clubs have been starved of consistent success.
Our Wembley wins still papered over the cracks of the inconsistent league form that has and still plagues us. We tailed off in 2016 after winning at Wembley and again in 2017 still weren't consistent enough in the league. Until the club shows a level of consistency in the league the attendances won't change much due to all the false dawns.

Not sure you know much about Wigan as it has a similar size population to Hull in actual fact it probably is slightly larger than Hull even when including the suburbs then add in St Helens then the number is far greater than Hull on its own. Then when you look at the catchment area they have a much bigger area to draw fans from being in the middle of two huge cities in Liverpool & Manchester.

That is a terrible deal for Wakey, it almost feels like the writing is on the wall for them already.

Certainly seems so on the face of it, its almost an acceptance of the dropping out of SL at this stage of the season with that swap even though they are in need of a FB its a poor swap. Pity we didn't swap Shaul for Hall

You don't half come out with some rubbish. I'm beginning to think you're a parody.

When was the last time Wigan got 25,000 against St Helens?
