Granted i'm not there but Barrow are not as bad as the league belies. I'm not surprised the backlash was against us. I think with the firmer ground then we win it pretty comfortably and I expect us to win comfortably next week. I still think on balance we will be fine on finishing top 4. I've said this before, it is clear the type of game Grix prefers. All I would say is, look at where we've been on winning runs in the last couple of seasons, especially last year. No guarantees of course. Agree on Doro, he's young but he needs to be playing more often. Grix needs to be looking at another like-forward in fact as I don't see where Gannon would bring anything. Sounded like Pickersgill had a horror moment which led to their winning try.

We bombed 3 or 4 try scoring opportunities having bust the Barrow line. Barrow just wanted it more - they were looking for a reaction after the heavy defeat to Batley last week and they got it. Pickersgill had an OK game - looked lively but had an unlucky bounce of the ball having stopped the ball going into touch. Not sure who was involved in the brain fart moment for the equalising penalty for Barrow in the first half but the players need to stay switched on!! I'm really struggling to see what Maher brings to the team - 20 mins at the start and if he came back on I didn't notice. Somehow it seemed a particularly long drive home yesterday after that

In the cold light of the day it isn't hard to see why we have struggled all season bar the Fev game. We are being outplayed and outfought in't forwards in every match. When we needed a score in the last quarter we could hardly get out of our own half which says it all really. Very poor! :x

Been the same throughout Grix's tenure.

Two consecutive third place finishes isn’t bad , name the forwards you would sign .

Not finished third through pack dominance though have we,been weak there for a long time.To answer your question very quickly off top of my head.Springer and Grady should have been retained.Walshaw at Batley and Walker at Widnes if overseas is out of budget.Thinking outside the box,how about trying Gannon and Kavanagh in the centres, both have pace and would beef up the team.

I think the decision on recruiting smaller mobile props coincided with the 6 again rule , I liked springer but apparently had an attitude problem he was lazy in defence ( he was at fault when Moore should have scored against fev , specifically targeting him not getting back quick enough ) there’s only a few big props around, I like the London prop forgot his name now .

Early turnaround against the same opponents is the perfect game to see how we really match up.

You need a better plan than playing a dust-track 13 on a paddyfield.
