There’s some serious strike again in the team. Nene looks the real deal and probably the best runner I’ve seen since Senior or Innes. Once Newman is fully fit and calms down a bit then that pairing will be devastating. Martin should stay in the centre until Handley returns. The pack finally now has plenty of size and strength in depth. Holroyd and McDonnell look very solid. Tetevano is obviously playing for a new contract and been good for a few games now. Cam Smith is superb and should be our captain and ball playing pack leader for years to come. Mik is a reasonable 6th prop too! Now Spring has finally sprung we should really start to see some great attacking rugby again. Myler is returning to form. Austin was great today. Just need Sezer to get more involved, run more and take on the line. The future is bright.
Agree with a fair bit of that Tex. Smith should be captain. He's the most consistent forward we have and a regular 80 minute player. The pack looks solid. Tet is clearly benefitting from having more size and punch around him. Sangare and Lisone had very good spells yesterday. Both made an impact. McDonnell goes a bit under the radar, but is very solid and consistent. Does Bentley get straight back in?? Austin always gives his all. Frustrating at times. But he's always trying to make things happen. Best game for Leeds yesterday. Great to see Johnson get a run. I hope he gets a stint every week. And McDonald does look a fantastic runner on a dry track. A real threat. He does actually run a bit like Senior.... Sezer is the problem. He's not doing enough to be kept. And he should be much more influential. We really must back that second half up next week against KR, hope we don't have a repeat of the follow up to the Saints win....

Sezer and Macdonald will be fasting this month during Ramadan, so worth bearing that in mind. No idea how you can play an RL game with no hydration, but hats off to them…..

Actually with Oledski due back soon and Holroyd in good form, Walters coming through as a middle I can’t see Tet getting back in at prop unless injuries hit.
Smith has 13 sewn up leaving Martin, Gannon, McDonnell, Bentley, Tet fighting for 2 starting back row slots.
It is wonderful to have so much competition to get into that Leeds pack now after so many years where it just wasn’t good enough.
I’d let Fusitua go next year without a doubt. He’s not worth the money. Tetevano is the one id keep if the money is right.
The guy has been here three years, spent most of the first banned, has been I imagine one of the highest earning players in SL and isn’t even the best forward at Leeds.
Awful marquee signing (again).
Just because he has a couple of good games used in the back row in a final contract year he’s the second coming. Unless he is prepared to take a significant pay cut he has to go.
We are going to have a job on retaining the likes of Oledski, O’Connor, Holroyd, Gannon, Newman etc etc without spaffing money on NRL fringe players.
Tet is a good player of course, but not for what we needed and he had made a dire contribution versus his cost.

Don’t think anyone is saying sign him on the same money.
Just watching the footage back, James simpson and caitlin beevers being interviewed, beevers says 'James will always put his best foot forwards' brilliant.

Stole a living for 3 years never mind marquee money. A couple decent performances and one big hit yesterday does not make up for that. Marquee plus quota spot. He does not get a contract under any circumstances next year, he’s playing for a contract elsewhere . I’d be very annoyed if be get offered any contract for us.

He’ll get offered a deal. Might not take it, but Rohan and the club rates him…..
Depends what our other options are. Given the cap increase in NRL, we're not getting top level blockbuster forwards any more (maybe with the exception of Vaughan, who looks like signing of the season already). Yes, Tet has been poor and not worth the money, but I think he's benefitting from a more solid, stable pack and could see him offered a deal on reduced terms. But it will be Hurrell all over again. Someone else will offer him more. Then we need to replace him. I definitely think we'll offer Austin another year. Not many players like him around. Yeh, he's inconsistent and frustrating, but he has the odd game like yesterday in him. Can't see Sezer getting another deal on current form tbh, unless he turns it around. And again, we'll be fishing in a small pond for a replacement. Brooks is an interesting one, but doesn't look to be the organiser we need. Cam Smith already looks a shoe in for player of the year. Not bad for Championship standard......
