Sorry that the question of (in what respect?) has caused so much confusion. It was never a trick question, or anything like that. Thanks for your replies all the same.

You thoroughly deserved the win and out played us at times. Good luck for the rest of the season.

On reflection when I stated we have a stronger squad I was talking bollox.

So you admit that you talk rubbish which is hardly a surprise.Suggest you listen to other peoples views as you seem to know diddly squat about R/L.
The game has changed and you like some of your emoji mates have been left behind and living in the past

On the evidence of yesterdays performance I conceded that my observation about our squad being better than Leigh's was bollox. On yesterdays performance indeed it was and I continued the friendly banter with the Leigh fan. I should have put an emoji in to emphasise that.

Know diddly squat about the game? probably true. You suggest I should listen to other peoples views who have superior knowledge of the game. I'm guessing that means you?

You have made a posts that I agree with. However Jamie Shaul is 30 has never played hooker in his life and will never successfully make that transition now. It's a specialist position that requires a lot more than running from dummy half.

Luckily missed the game as was on holiday and due to time difference didn't follow the game, was there any positives, did Hoy move to 6 and Litten to 1, how did that work.

Did Sao get sinbinned twice?

Tony Smith is the right man for the job and if you can’t see now that coaches haven’t been the problem then more fool you. It’s years of shocking retention and recruitment along with pathetic attitude that’s got us here, Tony has turned it around everywhere he has gone. And if this was a troll comment then here is your bite.

On the playing side coaches are the most important cog. To say coaches have not been the problem is a nonsense. Recommending retention and recruitment are two of their main tasks they are responsible for everything that happens on the playing side. Instilling a good attitude in players is paramount.

Whilst all that is true the choice of coach is down to the Chairman and so untimely the success or failure of the club is down to Mr Pearson. He did have early success but over the last few years he has presided over a steady decline in FC’s fortunes. He did not take decisive action when Radders’ tenure started to implode and his appointment of Hodgson was a bit of a disaster. Time will tell if TS can turn things around although first indications are not too promising.

It is often commented that he has had success at all previous clubs but not necessarily immediately. That is true of his time at Rovers and although we only narrowly escaped relegation that was not due to effort or application but rather to a lack of quality.

The difference is you also lack effort and application.

Litten went ok at 1, was more involved. We should line up that way against Wire. Hopefully Mitch on the wing, if not its Barron or Mcintosh.

Yeah Sao got sinbinned twice. I'd be tempted to release him and use his quota space on someone else.

The reality is the MKM is our home for the foreseeable, and a home which scores us highly with the IMG. If you want to make the atmosphere better, do something about it, make flags, stand up, get chants going rather than just complaining in forums about it every other week. I spoke to a member of the marketing department recently and they advised the club is actively looking for ways to improve the match day experience. Willing to contribute towards making flags etc.

We could have played yesterdays game at the Boulevard in its pomp and the atmosphere would still have been poor because what we are watching is so poor. People sing when their team have 'got a roll on' i.e. repeated sets of good play and pressure, not one dull set and a brainfart

Absolutely right about Sao. Two spells of 10 minutes means that for a quarter of the match we were only playing with 12 men. This is not acceptable, especially when the team are playing as poorly as they are.

I mean I obviousley dont always agree with Keith and know he goes way OTT when it comes to his opinions of us.

However Pearson and Clarke have massively mismanaged the salary cap and neglected the backroom staff. They have lead us down this path and have to take the responsibility.

Once we do that, we can start trying to be a serious club in the Super league.

The people at the top may talk a good game about being ambitious but talk is all it is.

The best young half back in the country is an FC fan and he's playing for our local rivals, while we sign players in that position that are sat in the stands.

I'd pay money and give Rovers Truman as part of the deal for Lewis tomorrow. But that's actually doing something about ambition. Lewis is bar far a better player than Truman and I'd much rather invest in him.

I'd also get rid of Tony Smith tomorrow and do everything it takes to bring McNamara in. That's nothing against Tony Smith as a coach it just means that he isn't the man for the job whereas McNamara is the man to sort things out, as he did with the national team (he took that over from Smith too) McNamara can attract players like Sam Tomkins and Tom Johnstone, match winning players.

The players on show are reflecting the ambition of the people in the shirts and ties making the decisions.

Your talking rubbish and hopefully now you’ve slept on it, I hope you know it was a knee jerk reaction. Seriously though, I just don’t know where our next win will come from!!! The next 5 games are virtually spankings and the Easter derby could well be a record score, then Wakey away  I said in an earlier post after the Salford debacle that Cas and Wakey could well get their first wins against us atm. We’re poop and we know we are. Even when Truman’s fit, we’ll still be poop, our pack is poor and just cannot build a platform. Clifford and Hoy are leading a back line that’s getting battered. I genuinely fear the drop at this moment in time. Griffin and Taylor are finished, Soa is a penalty machine and was very average in a very good Samoan side but would never have got his place but for injuries. No impact props and I just don’t see what Lovodua brings to the table. Heyho, I’ve been wrong before but I’ve watched FC since the late 50’s and I think this is one of the poorest teams effort wise I’ve witnessed. Taxi for Armavinit, I’ll get my coat.
ps, it’s all my fault, I never buy replica shirts anymore because we always get beat when I wear one  I bought the away shirt, I genuinely like it but it’s staying on the hanger in the wardrobe, FC need all the help they can get at the moment

I'm feeling like our only hope this season is that by some form of a miracle another club wants one of our players next season, and we want one of theirs (ideally a big prop) and a deal is done to swap them mid season.

Also anyone know what the deal is for paying players of early with the cap? I.e does only wages up til point of pay off count? Know that finances aren't flush but we aren't going to be selling any more on the day tickets at this rate

The morning after. We can't get rid of the coach. We have done that. Players need to be shipped out. Smith has said all along won't be a quick fix. I am sure he has irons in the fire for next year. His hands are tied for this year. As a happy clapper I really think this could be a long season. Yesterday was really poor. Need to shake the team up for next week in personal changes but we haven't the luxury of wholesale changes. It's the hope that kills you lol.
