Leigh are a good team but we should have beaten them yet after around 20 minutes none of us in there were in any doubt that the game was lost. Our discipline is appalling really (Tony Smiths words as well as mine) and with the teams that have strengthened this season and the competitiveness of the division that was relegation form, no doubt about it we should be very afraid I feel. The thing is we have so many good players who are just looking like they are tossing it off for periods in games. To be honest and some will say it's early days but we are a quarter of the season in and we have seen two performances as bad as we have see at the stadium since we moved there. Brian Smith is a great Coach he has however only signed one player and boy it shows as the same old same old is seen comes from the rest. With the games coming up these are worrying times I predict a valiant defeat at Warrington and then back to normal.
We can't keep changing the coach so it's the players who have to go. Smiths hands tied this year but I can imagine he's already got his eye on players for next year. Big clear out will happen end of year. Gonna be a long season I feel.
once a black and white always a black and white COYH
Hull seemingly have a “jam tomorrow” mentality driven by the chairman and consumed by the frustrated fans season upon season. Many of the currently contracted players ( reportedly 18 plus) contracts cease at the end of this current season. The question does the Chairman have the finances and the dwindling fan base support to fund a new squad? Evidently the clubs season pass uptake is significantly down on previous seasons even with the club selling season passes to juniors for £1.00.
Tony Smith is a respected coach and comes with a good pedigree but will the Chairman back him financially come the end of the season.

Today you are sitting comfortably in 10th spot. Most FC fans on here are realistic about 2023 performances. ComeOnYouUll can only make a comment that has been repeated dozens of times as you do not seem able to think of anything original to contribute. I really feel sorry for you. You’d feel better, I’m sure, if you were able to express your hurt.
Looking at Salford, Leigh and Cas (2nd half) games there are clear problems but similarities. We lack pace and movement let alone penetration in in attack. We are so predictable it's not surprising we don't get anywhere in offense as opposition coaches can see videos of our one dimensional approach. The ball players in the opposition change direction constantly whilst we just pass laterally or play one man rugby. We are weak in midfield particularly Centres in both attack and defence. What really struck me today (and I was directly looking down from the South Stand) was when Leigh got their fourth try. Carlos looked to the sky - said nothing (he is our captain!!! We do not have a leader or indeed leaders. We need to sign a leader like Fosdyke keeps saying here on this site.
