Illingworth vs Wyke cancelled due to Wyke dropping out of the league. Mixed bag of results for the Bradford sides but good wins for Wibsey and Hill who both go 2 from 2.

According to one of their players, the coach Cam Scott (Hull FC player) left to take over at Queensbury. So a few players followed him over there. Mixed with the 58-10 loss in the opener against Hill probably knocked the confidence of the remaining players. But Hill are expected (and probably will) post points on some teams.

Spoke to one of their players who said they've dropped down a league in order to be more competitive. Didn't reckon much to the coach who apparently picks people who don't train at the expense of those that do. The joys of the community game!

Shame that because even with the loss of players I still don’t think they would have finished bottom. If they had a slightly easier game than Hill then things might have been different. Always was going to be tough going there first game of the season after they’ve dropped from NCL 2 to YML Div 2 and retained a fair few players. They’d have been up for it and wanted to put a stamp on the league/something to prove. With Wyke coming up from Div 3 (not through promotion) it was always going to be hard.
Gutted for them because there’s 4 Bradford teams there so Wyke might have made a bit more money staying in this league.

Tough one is that. Many lads at amateur level work late or away. So can’t always make training. I do agree people who turn up should be rewarded but sometimes that’s not always the best for the team especially if it weakens the side.
