I also hope they aren’t thinking about anything Cup related until they get the 2 vital league points against Keighley and Barrow away the week before.

Since as predicated you have mentioned DR again, even in a cup thread where it will barely if ever apply because of being cup tied it’s clear you are completely missing the point of what Fax are doing, which is this.

With a small squad the club is looking to add some numbers who hopefully will do a job and are using every option available regardless of what that may be.

It’s not about supporting, the rights and wrongs, agreeing or disagreeing with, seeing anything, voting for or even expressing an opinion on something such as DR as a concept.

What the club and Grix is concerned about is the team, it’s all about numbers in an attempt to keep at least as good a quality as possible fit and healthy 17 available on match days.

This is the context of what Fax are doing, and in this setting to them the loan of Gannon, or anyone else is no different to Gannon, or anyone else coming in on DR it’s simply just adding somebody to the squad without it just being anybody.

Apart from variables based on the time frame where loans tend to be slightly longer but even then loan players can be recalled often at a short notice and loan players do not normally feature in Cup games because of being cup tied.

Likewise a DR player gettIng picked before an existing club player if he’s going be upset won’t be any less so if it’s a loan player being selected before him will he?

Do you now understand what is going on and why?
We can only hope. Up the Fax Panthers :thumb:

The rest is just patronising, misguided drivel but if the clown can't differentiate between the potential benefit, long and short term,of the loan of Gannon and someone who turns up once to do half an hours cobweb blowing then I give up..

If anyone is in any doubt as to how SL club's treat the DR system they should read Ian Watsons view on sending Sam Hewitt to Wakefield. He stated that going to Wakefield for a spell was preferable for Hudds and Sam but he could always go to a championship club 'as a last resort'. I think that says it all!

Of course everyone knows about the longer term possibilities (myself and others have argued the very point several times for example Dan Murray,) but even he came on DR before coming on loan.

Quote: Halifax have signed Salford prop Daniel Murray on a one-month loan. The forward played for Fax last year as part of the club’s previous dual-registration link, making six appearances for Richard Marshall’s side. “Dan fitted in really well last year and I think he has improved even further over the off-season,” head coach Richard Marshall said.

Regardless Jacob Gannon has been brought in for the here and now, it's the coach and club who have said it's now when the squad needs strengthening not for some maybe in X number of weeks / years time so please save your clown, misguided drivel insults until you have the facts straight yourself, iv'e told you why and what the club are doing, their using every option available whether that be for 1 game 1 month or whatever, fact.

Hudds Quote: If anyone is in any doubt as to how SL club's treat the DR system they should read Ian Watsons view on sending Sam Hewitt to Wakefield. We know but this is a Challenge Cup thread about Fax and not about DR as a concept or how Ian Watson or Wakefield use it that you've hijacked again.

Indeed,my gripe was against Grix and his appalling use of DR and now were trolling back to previous coaches for justification.Even Faxcar agrees that our use of DR at Widnes was against the very ethic of the system and even that blew up in his face.

Can’t we just leave it alone and concentrate on the club doing well and winning games with whoever is wearing the blue and white jersey.

More accurately I fully agree that DR not just at Widnes as a concept is a blight on the game and should be entirely removed as an option from the game as a whole.

But the fact is at the moment it’s here and as stated before I know that the club are keeping it as just one of the options, but be aware it’s viewed as being the least favourable and honestly do you know the reasons for the decision Grix made at Widnes because there’s more to it than just blindly throwing someone in and if you want to really know why not ask him to his face?

Trolling back, no, justifying something no, just replying to the insults and the point you made on not being able to recognise longer term investment involving loans vs DR and you missed the point which was about the player not the coach.

So I quoted the factual example of Dan Murray who first joined us on DR, then on loan I provided the link to show that in both spells DR and loan he impressed the coach of the time, no misinformation there, it's a fact.

This is what led to his permanent move with the current coach.
He wasn’t “ blowing off cobwebs” at any time like you stated every DR player would be.

A further example is Oliver Roberts who in Feb 2020 joined us on DR from the Giants and played for us against Sheffield Eagles at the Shay in a game which we won 18 - 17 with him scoring the winning try charging on to the ball and crashing through the Eagles line in the 79th minute, he wasn’t here either just to pass time, do your research, listen to the post match interview and hear what he had to say about his commitment.

Were either of you at that game and when that happened were you saying “what the hell is he playing for”, “appalling use of DR” etc etc?

Watch the video because everyone else in the shed is going barmy and as a bonus Mark Aston is snivelling in the stands :D

Only sighting the odd game when for a number of reasons things don't work out and blaming it on DR is closer to what Hudd-Shay wrote and you agreed with.
Quote: "Very selective Faxcar! :P" Which agreed is very selective regarding the high jacker and it has to be selective when talking about a specific subject.

Rather than drivel or using any irrelevant personal feelings I have, past and present tried to ensure that what I’m posting is based on real information and if you think it’s misinformed drivel about what I said about numbers, looking after the team and having a fit 17 players listen to Grix’s comments in the pre Keighley interview.

I’m not patronising anybody I’m trying to talk about a variety of rugby league topics whilst avoiding being critical of the club or mentioning DR in every thread which only two people try and justify doing.

I thought that’s what forums were for but if not fair enough if it’s the opposite I’ll pass other than to say everybody everywhere is ..........
