McIntosh has played a couple of games at right centre and did Ok so Barron on the wing with McIntosh at centre wouldnt bother me.
We have to move Griffin back to second row.He is now a joke as a centre

When? He's played every game at Hull on the wing. Maybe he had a handful of appearances at centre for Hudds but that's it.

He's been criticised for his defence. How do you think he'll go defending in a much harder position?

Like it or not Griffin is probably our best option right now

I think some players will count themselves lucky we still have a few out injured.

Laidlaw>Evans
Cator> Lane

Would be two easy changes for this next game.

Im guessing Staveley/Balmforth/Litten wont be a million miles away too.

He well might, its easily plausible to do so given the squad. That was my point, probably best to see the team that runs out on Friday before deciding there is no accountability.

Barron had an absolute nightmare game against saints last year, don't think it would be the best idea putting him in the first team for Friday's game

He may not set the world on fire but he is steady and reliable, in fairness to the lad he is actually prepared to make a tackle, something that was in very short supply against Salford.

On that basis Chris may as well play Houghton there
McNamara is one of a number of our younger players like Scott and Wynne who will end up in the Championship

If the game was only a 20 minute one I might agree re Houghton but it’s painfully obvious he can’t play much more than that. I’d hoped that spelling him we might have seen a bit more from him but we aren’t and he looks done.

Looking at this season so far we started off the season playing a high intensity game with quick line speed in attack and particularly in defence. In that first 40 minutes we over ran Cas. 2nd half we slowed down and went back to standing off and waiting and Cas then got on a roll. We did similar at Leeds played with some intensity and decent line speed but that again dropped off in the 2nd half. The last two games we have little no intensity and against Salford we were just pitiful in every aspect, no desire, far too passive and lazy.

Can’t see anything other than another humbling unless TS gets the message out to up the intensity for 0 to 80 mins. There are still far too many bang/below average players and too many that are prepared to throw the towel in.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

He didnt start at centre but was moved to centre a couple of times due to injury re shuffle.
I thought he did well.
McIntosh has been criticised for his defence i agree but Griffin is hardly a good defender is he.
The problem we have as i said previously we currently have the two worst centres in S/L and the two worst Second rows in S/L so playing McIntosh in the centre to allow Barron to play is risky but that right edge is going to be targeted anyway irrespective of who plays there.
I just want to see whether Smith has the balls to drop some of these Prima Donna underperformers.

But even when spelled houghton never did anything apart from tackle and a couple of good kicks from dummy half

Get an attacking hooker suddenly people realise houghton is very limited

A wing centre partnership of Barron and Mcintosh fills me with dread, not to be too dramatic

Mitch would be the answer to try and shore up that edge. Hopefully he's back in contention for the Leigh game

In Smith's pre match conference I'm sure he said Carlos could be back next week. Sutcliffe the week after. So we should be able to get Griffin back to SR soon.

I think we're going to have to suck it up this week.

I'd drop Lane and Evans this week though.
